Why they keep coming back in Al Wurud

The first reason

New villas and older blocks share the same ground

Al Wurud stands on former airport land, so newer villas sit close to older mixed residential and commercial blocks between King Fahd Road and Prince Majid Road. Furniture entering one home may be decades newer than furniture entering the next, and that gap changes where bed bugs are likely to have travelled from.

A sealed encasement goes onto the mattress and the base, with monitors under the bed legs, then we return once the remaining eggs have hatched and re-treat anything still active.

Questions about this district

Our old villa near the former airport land is being rebuilt, does the furniture need checking when it returns?

Yes. Furniture stored in another home during demolition and rebuilding can pick up bed bugs or eggs from that house, so we check it before it goes back into the new villa.

Our villa shares a back wall with a shop's storage room, is that a risk?

The wall itself does not carry bed bugs, but any gap around wiring or a small crack in it gives them a path from the storeroom into the room next to it, so we check that wall from the inside.

Our children play at the local pitch every evening and bring their kit bags home, do the bags need checking?

A kit bag touches benches and shared equipment used by many players, so it can carry an egg or a stray bug in its folds. We prefer to check it before it goes anywhere near the bedroom.

Our children stay over with cousins in Bani Malik most weekends, do their bags need checking when they come home?
