Why they keep coming back in Al Samir

The first reason

Villas and flats in one district

A detached house and a shared block are two different problems. In Al Samir's villas the roach comes in from garden irrigation and an outside drain, while in the flats it moves between units through common pipework. We treat each on its own terms rather than running one method across both.

The Al Samir walkway and its planted stretches are watered on a routine, and the drainage there, along with the street gullies on Al Ajwad and Ankara, stays damp. That is the standing moisture the American cockroach favours before it moves into the nearest buildings.

There is a shop under my flat on Al Ajwad. Is that the cause?

Often yes. A warm shop or restaurant kitchen is a nursery for the German cockroach, and it climbs from there through service ducts into your flat. We tie the treatment to that source below; treat your unit alone and the infestation comes back whatever we do upstairs.

I rented a furnished flat. Can roaches come with the furniture?

They can. The German cockroach and its egg cases travel inside used appliances and in the folds of furniture. In Al Samir's furnished flats we check behind the fridge, inside drawers and in closed voids, since the first colony usually hides where nothing is seen by day.

My flat is on the ground floor near the walkway. Why so many?

Being close to the watered walkway and its drainage means heavier pressure from the American cockroach, especially after irrigation and on humid nights. We seal the doors and the low openings tightly and set bait stations at the entry points facing the walkway.

I have just moved into a new building east of the expressway. Do I need treatment?

A new building is not necessarily an empty one. Its waste and service drains link the units to one another and to the street from the day it opens. We check the kitchen and the pipe entry points and place preventive bait along the routes before it settles into a real infestation.
