Flea control in Harat Al Bab Al Jadid Makkah
Harat Al Bab Al Jadid is a new development scheme south of the city, villas still under construction and vacant plots between completed homes. Fleas here come from animals in open ground and building sites, sheltering in stacked materials and foundation pits before the neighbourhoods finish. Every new villa needs treatment before the keys come out.

Why they keep coming back in Harat Al Bab Al Jadid
Bare ground, scattered materials and deep excavations harbour rodents, reptiles and scorpions that carry fleas directly into newly finished homes. The method is set out in full on how we approach Flea control.
New villas and shared vacant plots
Each new villa sits surrounded by bare ground and incomplete neighbours. Wild animals, stray cats and dogs nest in open land and carry fleas to residential blocks. Wet ground from building water keeps fleas alive in perfect conditions.
Building materials, pits and foundations
Villas under construction have no walls yet. Scattered materials, deep pits and heaped sand shelter rodents and scorpions. Fleas live in this damp, shaded world. After completion fleas remain trapped in fresh foundations and new walls, emerging for months.
Wadi Uranah and collected rainwater
Wadi Uranah cuts through the scheme and low ground collects water after rain. Extra moisture extends flea life and cocoon timings. Villas on low ground are at greater risk. Treating the entire neighbourhood works better than one villa alone, as fleas migrate from wet open ground.
Harat Al Bab Al Jadid on the map
Harat Al Bab Al Jadid sits about 3 km from Al Shubaikah Al Jadid and about 3.5 km from Al Ghazzah Al Jadid.
Open in Google MapsThe resting places map the infestation
Crown Prince scheme two on the Al Laith road south of Makkah between Al Shamiyah Al Jadid and Al Ghazzah Al Jadid, new villas many still under construction, near the south western Haram boundary marker.
The base of the carpet
Carpets will be laid after the villa is finished, so treating the bare concrete now is more effective than treating after carpet is down.
Where the animal sleeps
Strays and rodents sheltering in vacant plots and pits are a permanent flea source throughout construction.
Flea dirt
Flea dirt collects in bare concrete floors and damp sand around foundations where no cleaning reaches.
Furniture edges and upholstery
Furniture arriving at new villas may carry fleas if second hand or stored on infested ground.
Joints in a hard floor
Seams in fresh concrete foundations and deep pits hold damp and shade, giving cocoons permanent shelter.
Damp shade outdoors
Damp shade around the villa from foundations, channels and condensation shelters fleas escaping the heat and dryness above.
How we work
-
1
Inspect and confirm
We confirm it is fleas rather than another biting insect, and fix the animal's sleeping points, its routes and the shaded ground outside. Where there is no animal in the house, we look for the host they came from.
-
2
Treat the floors and soft furnishings
A residual with an insect growth regulator, worked into the carpet base, the floor and wall junction and the edges under furniture. The regulator stops a larva becoming an adult, which is what breaks the cycle.
-
3
The host and the shade outside
We treat the shaded ground and the outdoor lying spots, and we agree with you that the animal's veterinary treatment happens on the same day, because any host left out of the job re-seeds the floor.
-
4
Vacuuming, then the follow-up visit
Repeated vacuuming vibrates the floor and draws the pupae out onto a treated surface. We come back about two weeks later to take the emerged generation before it lays.
What flea control includes
-
Confirmation before anything is applied
Telling a flea bite from the alternatives, and fixing the resting places and the centre of the infestation.
-
Carpet base and floor line treatment
A residual and a growth regulator worked down into the pile and under furniture edges, not laid across the visible surface.
-
Shade and damp outdoors
The shaded patches by entrances and around drains and taps, the only ground outside where larvae survive.
-
The source when there is no pet
Stray cats sheltering under an outside stair, or rodents in the voids, each handled on a different footing.
-
The vacuum schedule and aftercare
When to vacuum, how to empty the machine, and why the carpet is not steam cleaned afterwards. Ventilation time we give you on the call, because it changes with the product and the space.
-
A follow-up timed to emergence
A date about two weeks on, timed to the pupae leaving the cocoons, and re-treatment of any room where fresh bites are still starting.
What is different about South Makkah Sub-Municipality
South Makkah sub municipality is the belt of Crown Prince schemes south of Al Ukayshiyah, along the Al Laith road and the extension of Ibrahim Al Khalil Road to the Fifth Ring Road and the Non Muslims bypass. Most of it is still bare: granted plots awaiting houses, new villas standing alone, open building sites and unfinished paving and drainage. Wadi Uranah and its tributaries cross the low ground and hold water after rain, hills close it in, and rodents, reptiles and scorpions shelter in stacked materials and foundation pits before the neighbourhoods fill up.
Questions about this district
Our plot is still under construction. When should we treat for fleas?
Best after foundations and walls are up but before furniture arrives. Treating an empty villa is simpler and cheaper. When your new pet arrives, it will not know old fleas.
Do wild animals and stray dogs around new villas carry fleas?
Almost all animals in vacant plots carry them. Stray cats and dogs enter new villas hunting food and water. Fleas move with the animal or in the dirt it leaves behind.
The plots next to ours are completely vacant. Is that a risk?
Yes, a real one. Animals nest on vacant land. Fleas move slowly but steadily from bare ground into new villas through gardens and foundations.
When our villa is handed over, could it already have fleas from the building?
Possibly, if the surrounding land is heavily infested. We recommend a light treatment of foundations and garden passages before you move in, especially if stray animals have been seen.
Is treating only our villa enough, or must we treat the neighbouring plots?
Treating your villa gives temporary protection. Treating your garden and foundations, and coordinating with neighbours to treat shared perimeters, is far more effective. Public land may need separate council coordination.
How often should we treat per year in this new scheme?
A light preventive treatment every three to four months is better than waiting for major infestation. Vacant plots stay a permanent source until the neighbourhood fills in.
How much does flea control in Harat Al Bab Al Jadid cost?
It is set after the inspection, because the price follows the type of infestation, the size of the space, how far it has spread and the number of visits it needs. Send a photo and a description on WhatsApp and we will give you an estimate before we reach Harat Al Bab Al Jadid.
