Scorpion control in Al Naseem Jeddah
Al Naseem is a mixed district in central Jeddah stretching between the expressway and the east, with villas and residential buildings alongside busy commercial streets. It holds both old and new buildings. The challenge here is complex: dense restaurants and shops provide constant food, old pipes and gaps provide safe routes, and densely packed buildings close to each other provide multiple shelters.
-
Targeted, not broadcast
Product goes into cracks and runways, never sprayed across open surfaces.
-
Told before we start
What we will use, where it goes, and what to cover or move before we arrive.
-
A follow-up visit
We return after the first treatment, because what survives it does not show on the day.

Homes and businesses
Apartments and villas, and kitchens and stores that need a record of each visit.
Why they keep coming back in Al Naseem
High density and closely spaced buildings and numerous restaurants create an unusually complex environment for scorpion control, where pressure comes from several sources at the same time. The method is set out in full on our Scorpion control service.
Dense restaurants, shops and large commercial kitchens
King Abdullah Road and Bani Malik Street carry high density restaurants, shops and cafes with large commercial kitchens. These kitchens provide abundant food for cockroaches, ants and insects, and the scorpion hunts all night. Pressure from the restaurants is continuous and relentless.
Ageing pipes and gaps between densely packed buildings
Old and new buildings stand very close together, leaving narrow gaps and shared pipes. Old pipes leak water constantly, and gaps provide safe routes for the scorpion. Movement between closely packed buildings is very easy for the scorpion.
High population density and constant flow of residents and guests
Al Naseem is densely populated with apartments and shops, meaning constant food waste from permanent residents and mobile guests and customers. This constant flow and waste provide a year round environment rich in food for scorpions and insects.
The character of Al Naseem
Mixed district: shops at street level with homes above them
In a mixed district of old and new buildings very closely packed, defending against scorpions needs a multi layered approach.
What we check outside before we go in
A mixed central Jeddah zone combining old and new buildings, villas and residential apartments with crowded commercial streets packed with restaurants and shops.
Wall joints and boundary walls
Narrow gaps between densely packed buildings provide safe passages for scorpions to move without detection.
Rubble and stacked block
Food waste from numerous restaurants and apartments accumulates under furniture and equipment, providing permanent shelter and food.
Palm fronds and garden litter
Palm fronds and refuse from popular markets gather around buildings, attracting crawling insects and scorpions.
The gap under the door
Gaps under doors that do not fit tightly allow insects to enter from the busy crowded street.
Irrigation and damp soil
Old pipes and leaks wet walls and gaps, creating permanent damp conditions attractive to insects.
The light by the door
Heavy night lighting on commercial streets attracts flying and crawling insects that the scorpion hunts near doors and windows.
How we work
-
1
Night survey and perimeter inspection
We walk the perimeter after dark with an ultraviolet lamp, which makes a scorpion show up against wall and soil, and we record the harbourage, the ways in and how much prey is present.
-
2
Treat the harbourage and the building edge
Dust into the wall joints and the dry voids, and a targeted band tight against the foundation and around openings, because the material holds longer on a porous surface than on tile.
-
3
Close the ways in and remove the prey
A sweep under the doors, sealing where air-conditioning and drain pipes pass through, mesh over openings, and treatment of the cockroaches and insects it feeds on, so the reason to come in goes with them.
-
4
The follow-up visit
A scorpion can sit in its harbourage for weeks without moving, so the first pass does not always reach it. We come back to refresh the perimeter band and check what has appeared since.
What scorpion control includes
-
A night survey with an ultraviolet lamp
A walk of the perimeter after dark that fixes the harbourage and the entry routes before anything is applied.
-
Targeted perimeter and joint treatment
A band against the foundation, plus wall joints and cracks, never open floors or where children play.
-
Sealing openings and pipe entries
Drain openings, the points where air-conditioning pipes pass through, and mesh on shafts, which are the routes actually used.
-
Treating what it feeds on
Placed bait for cockroaches at entrances and service areas, because cutting the food supply reduces visits more than repeating a spray.
-
Aftercare instructions
What to lift out of the yard, where to move the outside light, and the ventilation time for your situation, which we give you on site.
-
A scheduled follow-up
A set date after the first treatment, a refreshed perimeter band and a check of anything new around it.
What is different about Al Sharafiyah Sub-Municipality
The Al Sharafiyah sub municipality runs across central Jeddah from Al Ruwais near the Corniche eastwards through Al Sharafiyah, Al Wurud and Bani Malik to Al Naseem at the Haramain Road. It was among the first areas to grow beyond the old wall, and it is dominated by dense apartment blocks over shops along King Fahd Road and Palestine Street, with old popular quarters, the Bani Malik market, car workshops and storerooms. Ageing buildings, worn drainage and the refuse of restaurants and markets make cockroaches and rodents the most persistent pests, and humidity rises towards the sea.
Questions about this district
Are the many restaurants in Al Naseem the main source of scorpions?
Yes, restaurants and commercial kitchens provide inexhaustible food sources for insects and scorpions. But shared gaps and pipes between buildings provide migration routes. The challenge is double: a massive food source and easy passage routes.
Does treating your flat protect against restaurant scorpions below?
Only partly. Scorpions move through pipes and gaps. If the restaurant below is untreated, treating only your flat may not be enough. Coordination with the restaurant is essential.
Do narrow gaps between densely packed buildings help scorpions move?
Yes completely. Buildings packed very close together leave narrow gaps ideal for the scorpion. Movement between buildings is very easy, making treatment of the whole block necessary, not just one unit.
Does fixing old pipes help with scorpion control?
Yes substantially. Old leaking pipes wet surrounding areas, attracting insects. Fixing leaks reduces moisture and insects significantly.
Are flats directly above restaurants more prone to scorpions?
Yes, flats directly above restaurants are most exposed. Powerful kitchens and abundant food sources attract many insects, and scorpions follow. Joint treatment of restaurant and flat is far more effective.
Is twice yearly treatment enough in Al Naseem?
A start, but continuous pressure from restaurants, close buildings and dense population may require more frequent treatment or focus on ongoing maintenance.
How much does scorpion control in Al Naseem cost?
It is set after the inspection, because the price follows the type of infestation, the size of the space, how far it has spread and the number of visits it needs. Send a photo and a description on WhatsApp and we will give you an estimate before we reach Al Naseem.
