Why spraying inside the house is not enough

A scorpion is a visitor, not a resident
It lives under stone, under block and inside the joints of a boundary wall, and it comes in at night for a reason. Treating the room treats where it appeared, not where it lives.
It does not pick up residue the way an insect does
It walks with its body held clear of the ground on the tips of its legs, so it collects far less from a surface band than a cockroach crawling through the same band. That is why the harbourage and the joints are treated, not open floor.
The food supply stayed where it was
A scorpion hunts cockroaches, spiders and the small night insects. While the prey stays by the door, the scorpion keeps a reason to come back.

A sweep under the doors, sealing where air-conditioning and drain pipes pass through, mesh over openings, and treatment of the cockroaches and insects it feeds on, so the reason to come in goes with them.

Common questions
How many visits does scorpion control take?
Usually two: the treatment, then a follow-up. A scorpion does not lay eggs in a case; the female carries live young on her back, so the second visit is not timed to a hatch. It is timed to the ones that stayed in the harbourage through the first pass, and to refreshing the perimeter band. A building with open ground around it does better on a standing arrangement, which is what Preventive treatment covers.
Why did another one appear after the treatment?
Two reasons, usually. The first is that a perimeter is a boundary and not a barrier: scorpions walk in from open ground and from neighbouring sites under construction, and the more undeveloped land there is around a building, the more often that happens. The second is that the prey is still in place, cockroaches above all, which is why Cockroach control often runs alongside this service on the same visit.
Is the treatment safe around children and pets?
Most of the work is outside: a band at the foundation, and dust inside joints and cracks that hands do not reach. Indoors it is placed treatment at doorways and where pipes pass through, not open floor. We give you the ventilation time on the call or when we arrive, because it changes with the product and the space, and we do not print a fixed number here.
Does finding scorpions mean something is wrong with the place?
No. It is a desert animal that already lives in the ground around the building, and it comes in looking for shade, moisture and prey. Homes next to open ground or a building site see more of them, and that is about what surrounds the building, not about anything inside it.
What should I do if I see one before you arrive?
Do not try to pick it up. Put a glass jar over it and slide stiff card underneath, keep children away from that spot, and shake out shoes and clothing left on the floor before putting them on.
