Incomplete drainage creates damp highways below ground

    We sound the timber and the skirting, take moisture readings, and follow the tubes to the point where they leave the soil. We also settle the species, because one that lives inside dry wood is not treated like one that lives in the ground.

    Treat the soil around the building

    A narrow trench at the footing and injection at regular spacing, so the treated band runs continuous with no gap to walk around.

    Drill the joints, inject the timber

    Small holes at spacing along the slab joints, the wall bases and the pipe entries, direct injection into the galleries inside the affected timber, then the holes are closed and made good.

    Bait stations and monitoring

    Stations in the soil carrying a slow-acting material the workers pass through the colony by mouth-to-mouth feeding, and we come back to read them, because an empty tube on a wall proves nothing on its own.

Vacant land is natural termite habitat, and the villa's nearness to it means constant risk after treatment. We create a sealed barrier in the soil around the villa's foundations to stop termites migrating in from unbuilt land.

The district's drainage network is not complete yet: does that mean more termites?

Incomplete drainage leaves water pooling in low spots, creating damp underground passages where termites travel easily. When a home sits in a district with unfinished utilities, we apply stronger soil treatment around the building.

Building is happening beside us with digging and excavation: does deep soil bring termites?

Warehouses may receive goods from elsewhere, but termites live in soil, not in goods shipped from other areas. Risk from a warehouse comes from dampness and waste that attracts rodents, which then carry termites.

The wadi beside the district runs in winter and after heavy rain: does it carry termites?

Wadi flow is seasonal and intermittent, but the dam holds water and humidity rises on both sides. A villa near the wadi means damper soil most of the year, and that encourages termites.
