Termite control in Wali Al Ahd Makkah

Wali Al Ahd lies south of Al Shawqiyah within the Haram boundary, with three storey apartment blocks standing among residential plots still under construction. New schemes are being built out gradually, the Al Layth road crosses through and the Fourth Ring Road is close, and the area holds small parks, mosques and a health centre. Ongoing construction sites, open ground and excavations leave soil damp and disturbed, and termites exploit these building areas and loosened earth.

  • Targeted, not broadcast

Product goes into cracks and runways, never sprayed across open surfaces.

  • Told before we start

What we will use, where it goes, and what to cover or move before we arrive.

  • A follow-up visit

We return after the first treatment, because what survives it does not show on the day.

  • Homes and businesses

Apartments and villas, and kitchens and stores that need a record of each visit.

Why they keep coming back in Wali Al Ahd

Open building sites and ongoing excavations leave the ground broken and damp, and new flats fill gradually with no established owner managing maintenance or monitoring. The method is set out in full on what Termite control involves.

The first reason

Open construction sites and disturbed soil

The district is under continuous building with many open sites, excavations and fill leave soil damp and unsettled, and termites exploit these gaps and moisture easily.

The second reason

New apartments and buildings without stable occupation

The blocks are new with modern footings, but flats fill gradually and there may be no permanent occupant managing maintenance. Termites may travel from construction sites to the buildings undetected.

The third reason

Al Layth Road and continuous traffic and dust

The Al Layth road cuts through the district, continuous traffic leaves dust and engine moisture, and the road brings new sources of dust and insects from neighbouring areas.

Before treatment

The evidence that decides the treatment

A new developing district within the Haram boundary, apartment buildings and residential plots under continuous construction at scattered locations.

Narrow mud tubes running up a concrete wall

Mud tubes

Mud tubes begin in damp soil at construction sites and rise towards new footings and gaps.

Discarded transparent wings on a window ledge

Shed wings

Shed wings appear on new wooden floors and furniture in the flats.

A damaged timber frame showing internal galleries

Hollow timber

Hollow timber shows in new flooring, sills and wooden furniture.

A dark damp patch below a pipe at a wall base

The water source

Water source is damp soil from construction sites, excavations and daily garden watering.

Cardboard boxes and timber stacked on a store floor

Cellulose on the floor

Cellulose on the floor includes new flooring, sills and new wooden boundaries.

A concrete joint and a pipe passing through a floor slab

Joints and pipe entries

Joints between villas and apartment blocks, gaps from neighbouring construction sites, and new pipe and drainage entries.

How we work

  1. 1

    Inspect and trace

We sound the timber and the skirting, take moisture readings, and follow the tubes to the point where they leave the soil. We also settle the species, because one that lives inside dry wood is not treated like one that lives in the ground.

  2. 2

Treat the soil around the building

A narrow trench at the footing and injection at regular spacing, so the treated band runs continuous with no gap to walk around.

  3. 3

Drill the joints, inject the timber

Small holes at spacing along the slab joints, the wall bases and the pipe entries, direct injection into the galleries inside the affected timber, then the holes are closed and made good.

  4. 4

    Bait stations and monitoring

Stations in the soil carrying a slow-acting material the workers pass through the colony by mouth-to-mouth feeding, and we come back to read them, because an empty tube on a wall proves nothing on its own.

What termite control includes

  • A technician inspecting with a flashlight

    A traced, recorded inspection

Sounding, moisture readings, tubes traced back to the soil, and the species settled before anything is applied.

  • A spray nozzle in close detail

A treated band at the perimeter

Trenching and injection at the footing, spaced so the band is continuous rather than a set of patches.

  • A metal floor drain

    Joints and service penetrations

Slab joints, pipe entries and floor drains, which are the ways up through the concrete.

  • A gloved hand applying bait into a joint

    Bait stations in the soil

A slow material carried back through the colony by feeding exchange, rather than stopping the workers at the wall.

  • A clean kitchen counter after treatment

    Aftercare instructions

What not to dig or water near the treated band, what to keep off the walls, and the ventilation time we set for your case.

  • The visit report being written on a clipboard

    Scheduled monitoring visits

Reading the stations, sounding the same timber again, and treating any new activity.

What is different about Al Shawqiyah Sub-Municipality

Al Shawqiyah sub municipality runs south from the Third Ring Road to the city's edge on the Al Layth road and the Jeddah expressway. Planned districts such as Al Shawqiyah, Al Malik Fahd and Bathaa Quraish have wide streets, villas and apartment blocks, while schemes in Wali Al Ahd are being built out and informal housing in Al Ukayshiyah and Al Zuhur is being cleared. The vegetable market and livestock auction at Souq Al Halaqa, open construction sites, the rocky slopes of Jabal Thawr and sewers still being laid through the southern fringe offer exposed food, shelter and moisture.

Questions about this district

Construction site beside our new villa with excavations: do termites move from there to us?

Damp building sites may hold termites in soil, and transfer to the villa depends on shared footings and soil and the gaps between them.

New villa in Wali Al Ahd: do we treat before moving in or wait and watch?

Early treatment is better because neighbouring construction sites may harbour termites, and ongoing building around the villa means continued exposure.

The district is under continuous building: is early treatment enough or does it need repeat?

Continuous building means continuing exposure, early treatment protects the villa but may need monitoring if building intensity remains high around the district.

Ground below us is low and active building beside us leaves gaps: does this raise risk?

Low ground and gaps from active building provide routes for water and termites, so treatment focuses on footings and neighbouring gaps.

Is the new drainage network in the district protecting us from termites?

New drainage helps but damp construction sites and disturbed soil may bring termites before drainage is complete.

The small garden beside the villa is watered daily: is it the source or is it the building?

The garden provides moisture but the source may be the active construction sites, and treatment covers footings and garden together.

How much does termite control in Wali Al Ahd cost?

It is set after the inspection, because the price follows the type of infestation, the size of the space, how far it has spread and the number of visits it needs. Send a photo and a description on WhatsApp and we will give you an estimate before we reach Wali Al Ahd.
