Why they keep coming back in Al Adl

The first reason

Al Adl grew as an eastward extension along King Faisal Road and the Fourth Ring Road, so many of its blocks were built and furnished in the same construction wave. Wardrobes and bed frames from the same supplier repeat across neighbouring units, and a gap in one often recurs in exactly the same place next door.

Identical floors, one shared entrance

Apartment blocks in Al Adl repeat the same flat, floor for floor, from ground level to the top, with residents sharing one entrance and one lift. How we work

Inspect and map the spread

We strip the bed and work through the mattress and base seams, the frame joints, the headboard and the skirting, then check the upholstered furniture and the neighbouring rooms to see how far it has gone.

Laundry, heat and steam

Bedding is bagged and sealed inside the room, then washed and dried hot. Steam runs along the seams and edges, because heat reaches the cemented eggs that a liquid never will.

Targeted, non-repellent application

A non-repellent product goes onto the harbourage itself, with a dust into voids and screw holes. We do not use a repellent aerosol, because it drives the insect deeper into the wall and into the next room.

Monitoring and the follow-up visit

A sealed encasement goes onto the mattress and the base, with monitors under the bed legs, then we return once the remaining eggs have hatched and re-treat anything still active.

Al Maabdah sub municipality climbs from Al Abtah and Al Jumayzah beside the Al Mualla cemetery up through Al Khansa and Rai Adhakhir to Al Adl, Jabal Al Nour, Wadi Jaleel and Qurtubah on the outer ring roads. It mixes hotels and pilgrim housing near the Grand Mosque with old popular houses on hillside passes, new housing schemes on valley floors that carry flash floods after rain, and industrial plots, workshops and warehouses along Al Hajj Street in Qurtubah. Street widening and expropriation leave partly demolished frontages in Al Khansa.

Questions about this district

A Hajj mission rents our whole building each season, does it need checking when we move back in?

Yes. Once the flats return to family use after a full season of housing pilgrims, we check the mattresses, frames and wall wardrobes before your own furniture goes back in, because the shared bedding had different people using it right through the season.

The contractor stored our furniture in an empty flat on the same floor before handover, does it need checking?

Yes. Empty flats in Al Adl's newer blocks sometimes double as temporary storage for a neighbour's furniture before handover, and bed bugs can arrive with that furniture from a previous building, so we check every piece before it goes into your finished flat.
