Each unit needs checking on its own terms rather than assumed clear because its neighbours are freshly built.

How we work

Inspect and map the spread

We strip the bed and work through the mattress and base seams, the frame joints, the headboard and the skirting, then check the upholstered furniture and the neighbouring rooms to see how far it has gone.

Laundry, heat and steam

Bedding is bagged and sealed inside the room, then washed and dried hot. Steam runs along the seams and edges, because heat reaches the cemented eggs that a liquid never will.

Targeted, non-repellent application

A non-repellent product goes onto the harbourage itself, with a dust into voids and screw holes. We do not use a repellent aerosol, because it drives the insect deeper into the wall and into the next room.

Monitoring and the follow-up visit

A sealed encasement goes onto the mattress and the base, with monitors under the bed legs, then we return once the remaining eggs have hatched and re-treat anything still active.

Questions about this district

We move furniture between two buildings in the same subdivision, does it need checking?

Yes. Even a short distance between two buildings in the same subdivision does not stop bed bugs travelling with the piece itself, so we check the furniture before it goes into the new flat rather than waiting for marks to appear once it has settled in.

The shop under our building sells second hand furniture, does that put our flat at risk?

A shop like that on the ground floor does not mean automatic spread, but it does raise the chance of an infested piece entering the building, so we check your flat separately from the shop's own stock and pay close attention to the shared wall.

Our married children live in a nearby flat and we swap a bed sometimes, does that need checking?

Yes, the short distance between the villa and the flat does not remove the need for a check. We would rather inspect the piece where it starts out before it moves, instead of waiting to see marks appear in the new home.

We moved from Al Sawari into a flat in Al Firdaws, does our old furniture need checking?

Moving between two neighbouring districts does not lower the risk, because bed bugs travel with the furniture itself regardless of how short the distance is, so we check the older pieces specifically before the new flat is arranged around them.

Our house is in a new subdivision with half the units still empty, does that lower the risk?

Empty units do not carry the insect on their own, but the first furniture to arrive in a home from these subdivisions is usually either moved from elsewhere or fresh out of packaging, and both are worth checking before they are placed in any room.

We let a guard sleep in our ground floor shop at night, does that affect the flats above it?

Someone sleeping in the shop turns it into a living space in practice even if it was never meant to be one, so we recommend checking the bedding down there along with the flats above in the same visit, rather than treating it as a purely commercial unit.
