Cockroach control in Usaylah Makkah
Usaylah is a young suburb west of Ash-Shara'i, where residents move into brand new flats while the block next door is still bare concrete. That changes the job: cockroaches here rarely come from long neglect. They arrive in the boxes and appliances of a first move, or they cross in from a nearby building site whose drains have just been opened.
-
Targeted, not broadcast
Product goes into cracks and runways, never sprayed across open surfaces.
-
Told before we start
What we will use, where it goes, and what to cover or move before we arrive.
-
A follow-up visit
We return after the first treatment, because what survives it does not show on the day.

Homes and businesses
Apartments and villas, and kitchens and stores that need a record of each visit.
Why they keep coming back in Usaylah
Working here, we notice most callouts come from blocks that are half lived-in and half shut up, where a cockroach crosses between flats through pipework that has never been used. The method is set out in full on Cockroach control in detail.
They arrive with the first move
In a block being lived in for the first time, the German cockroach is not native to the place. It travels in folded up inside removal boxes and kitchen appliances. One infested flat is enough to seed the whole riser before the neighbours have even moved in.
The building site next door
Digging foundations and opening drain lines on the plot beside you turns over the soil and drives American cockroaches out of their harbourage underground. They head for the nearest finished building and come in through service openings that have not been sealed yet.
Empty flats above lived-in ones
The shut up units in a new building are the weak point. Their sink and floor traps dry out, so the seal that should block the drain smell opens a path up from the pipe. Cockroaches travel along it into the occupied flats, which is why treating your flat alone will not hold while the riser is shared.
The species and the place decide the method
The suburb is still being laid out, with roads and service trenches open across the plan. New drainage runs are fresh and some connections are not yet sealed, which gives the American cockroach a clear route up from the ground into a finished ground floor.
German cockroach
It comes into Usaylah with the furniture and appliances of a first flat, and finds warm, unused corners in a brand new kitchen where it settles in quickly.
American cockroach
It comes from the building sites and fresh drain runs around the plan, and shows up first in car parks and ground floors close to open excavation.
Appliance heat
The fridge and oven that came with the move may carry egg cases from the old home, and their warmth in the new kitchen brings the next generation out sooner.
The gap behind the fridge
In a kitchen that is not yet fully set up, the gap behind the fridge stays dark and close to a water point, and it is the first place we check in a newly occupied flat.
Water before food
Before the kitchen fills with food, a cockroach needs only a leak from a new joint or a damp sink to live, because water matters to it more than scraps.
What you see at night
A single cockroach crossing the tiles at night in a half-empty block usually means the riser is feeding the whole building, not that your flat alone is infested.
How we work
-
1
Inspect and identify
We work through the kitchen, the bathrooms and the drain runs, and establish the species, the harbourage points and the moisture keeping them there.
-
2
Treat the harbourage
Gel bait into joints and cracks, targeted spray where it is warranted, and dust in the dry voids behind appliances.
-
3
Close what can be closed
We point out the gaps, the drain entries and anything needing a plumber, because exclusion does more to stop a return than repeating the spray.
-
4
The follow-up visit
We come back once the surviving egg cases have hatched, check the points and re-treat where needed.
What cockroach control includes
-
A recorded inspection
Species, harbourage points and moisture sources, established before anything is applied.
-
Placed gel bait
In cabinet joints, cracks and behind appliances, where the insect actually travels.
-
Targeted spray where needed
On runways and junctions, never on preparation surfaces or open floors.
-
Drain and entry treatment
Floor traps, shafts and pipe entries, which is where the larger species comes from.
-
Aftercare instructions
Ventilation, what to cover, and when surfaces can be cleaned without undoing the work.
-
A scheduled follow-up
A set date after the first treatment, and re-treatment of anything still active.
Questions about this district
My flat is new and I only just moved in, so where are the cockroaches coming from?
In a newly occupied flat the source is rarely internal. Most likely they arrived with your furniture or appliances, or they crossed in through a drain line you share with the other units in the block. We start by working out which of the two it is before any spraying.
There is a building site next to me. Does it affect my flat?
Usually, yes. Digging on the neighbouring plot and opening its drains drives large cockroaches out of the ground towards the nearest finished building. In that case we concentrate on sealing the service openings, the ground floor and the car park they come in through.
Half of my block is empty and unoccupied. Does that need treating too?
The empty units are often the weak point, because their traps dry out and open a route up from the drains. We cannot enter locked flats without the owner's permission, but we treat the shared riser from your side and advise that the empty ones are treated when they are opened up.
I moved my furniture from an older home. Did I bring the cockroaches with me?
This is very common in Usaylah, since most residents have moved in recently. The German cockroach hides in appliances, boxes and closed drawers, and may not show for weeks. In a flat you have moved into, those are the first places we check.
Should I treat the flat before I move my furniture in?
If your old home had cockroaches, treating the furniture and appliances before the move stops egg cases coming into the new flat. And if the flat is still empty, treatment before it is furnished is easier, because the kitchen is clear and we can reach every gap.
My kitchen is not fully fitted yet. Is it too early to treat?
No, it is actually the best time. An empty kitchen lets us reach behind the units and the water points before they are boxed in by appliances. A cockroach also needs only water from a new joint to survive, so it can settle before any food comes into the flat.
How much does cockroach control in Usaylah cost?
It is set after the inspection, because the price follows the type of infestation, the size of the space, how far it has spread and the number of visits it needs. Send a photo and a description on WhatsApp and we will give you an estimate before we reach Usaylah.
