Fly control in Al Qararah Al Jadid Makkah
Al Qararah Al Jadid is a newly building district in the south of Makkah within the Crown Prince schemes, stretching along Ibrahim Al Khalil Road among vacant residential plots, scattered villas and unfinished commercial zones. Wadi Uranah cuts through the district and open ground holds permanent water pools; Jabal Labanah rises to the north, its rocky slopes and crevices sheltering wild fly populations.

Why they keep coming back in Al Qararah Al Jadid
Vacant plots and unmanaged spacing mean water pools have no drainage, collecting in natural pits and depressions where they become permanent fly breeding reservoirs. The method is set out in full on Fly control in detail.
Wadi Uranah and natural water depressions
Wadi Uranah cuts through Al Qararah Al Jadid, draining seasonal rain but leaving water trapped in depressions and pits around the channel for weeks. Larvae develop easily in these pools, and after maturation millions of flies emerge at once.
Jabal Labanah with rocky crevices and wild fly shelter
Jabal Labanah north of the district provides natural fissures and caves sheltering millions of wild flies, and summer heat drives these populations to migrate into the neighbourhood. Wild flies differ from house flies and resist standard treatment.
Scattered building and incomplete basic drainage
Scattered construction means new villas lack organized drainage networks yet, and water drains haphazardly into ground. Temporary channels and poor drainage cause water to pool for long periods, giving flies weeks to breed.
Al Qararah Al Jadid on the map
Al Qararah Al Jadid sits about 2 km from Al Mudaa Al Jadid and about 3 km from Shaab Amer Al Jadid.
Open in Google MapsWhere the flies are actually coming from
The district sits on flat, open ground with hillsides at its perimeter, and a valley running through it where water collects in depressions after seasonal rain.
House fly
The house fly finds ideal conditions in water pooling around Wadi Uranah and in natural pits surrounding new villas.
Blow fly
The blow fly arrives from Jabal Labanah during heat peaks, finding food in construction waste and rotting organic materials.
Fermenting residue
Fermenting residue collects in pits and depressions around new villas, where silt and moisture are permanent.
The bin base
The bin base does not yet exist, but water pools in natural holes acting as vast natural fly reservoirs.
The film inside a drain
The film inside a drain forms in temporary channels and natural water collections around the district.
The service door and its mesh
The service door and its mesh must be fitted to new villas before occupancy, because wild flies from the mountain attack with intensity.
How we work
-
1
Inspect and trace the source
We trace the flies back to their medium: waste and the bin area, floor traps, drain runs and any standing organic wetness, and we identify the species from its size, its flight and where it settles.
-
2
Treat the breeding medium
Washing and scouring bin bases and floor traps, and a foam that treats the film inside the pipe, because removing the medium is the only thing that stops production.
-
3
Treat the resting surfaces
A fly spends most of its time settled on ceilings, cables, the tops of walls and the sunlit wall outside the door, and that is where the residual and the bait go, not into the air.
-
4
Proofing and the follow-up
We close the ways in and sort out the screens and the doors, then come back on a date matching the emergence of the pupae that were already in the medium on the first visit.
What fly control includes
-
A source tracing inspection
The species, the breeding medium and the route in, established before anything is applied.
-
Drains and floor traps
Scouring the film stuck inside the pipe and treating it with foam, which is where drain flies come from and almost nowhere else.
-
Residual on the resting surfaces
Ceilings, cables, the tops of walls and the sunlit wall outside the door, kept off food preparation surfaces.
-
Fly bait in protected positions
An attractant bait set at bin areas and service entrances, out of reach of children and pets and away from food.
-
Aftercare instructions
Ventilation, what to cover, and what needs a screen, an air curtain or a different waste routine.
-
A scheduled follow-up
A set date matching the emergence of the pupae, and re-treatment of any source still producing.
The character of Al Qararah Al Jadid
New development: ongoing construction and vacant plots between the homes
Vacant land and scattered building supply ideal conditions for wild flies from Jabal Labanah, and natural water pools become giant incubators. The district needs ongoing seasonal treatment throughout each construction phase, not after completion alone.
Questions about this district
Will completing building and drainage automatically eliminate flies?
No. Finishing construction and drainage will reduce breeding sites, but wild flies migrating from Jabal Labanah will continue. Ongoing treatment is necessary even after infrastructure completes.
Is Wadi Uranah alone responsible or does Jabal Labanah contribute?
Both do. The wadi provides pooled water for breeding, and the mountain provides an endless wild fly source that migrates seasonally. Treating one alone fails.
Do new villas on vacant plots need treatment before occupancy?
Absolutely. The surrounding land is infested with wild flies and pooled water, and new villas will receive flies from day one. Pre occupancy treatment of the ground is essential.
Are natural water holes worse than bins as breeding sites?
Far worse. Foundation pits and natural depressions provide natural shelter from treatment. Water remains for weeks, giving complete fly generations time to develop.
Will treating a new villa alone work without treating the surrounding land?
No. The villa alone has no protection from surrounding ground. Land and pooled water must be treated alongside the villa simultaneously.
How often must Al Qararah Al Jadid be treated per year during construction?
At least every two months. With building progress and seasonal rain, frequency increases, possibly monthly at peak seasons.
How much does fly control in Al Qararah Al Jadid cost?
It is set after the inspection, because the price follows the type of infestation, the size of the space, how far it has spread and the number of visits it needs. Send a photo and a description on WhatsApp and we will give you an estimate before we reach Al Qararah Al Jadid.
