Inspect at night and find the source

We come at the hour it is actually moving, and establish which wall face it is living on, which lights are gathering its food, the entry points and the crevices it wedges into by day.

Treat the food source

We treat the flying and crawling insects on the wall faces, around the perimeter and around the lighting. Once the food goes, the wall stops being worth staying on.

Close the openings and clear the crevices

We seal the air-conditioner sleeve, screen the vents and drain outlets, deal with the underside of doors, and place a repellent in the crevices and behind panels so they move out before anything is closed.

The follow-up visit

We come back once the glued eggs have hatched, check the seals held, and re-treat any wall face where activity has returned.

Does proximity to Al Fayha Walkway and the park increase gecko problems in the villa?

Yes, significantly so. Villas close to the walkway are far more exposed. The irrigated park supplies insects year round and the walkway offers safe shelter for geckos. Distance from the walkway visibly reduces the problem.

Are the vacant plots around my new villa the primary source of the geckos?

Vacant plots supply insects, rodents and geckos, but Al Fayha Walkway is the stronger source. Building on adjacent land may also drive geckos to your home as the work opens gaps.

Will treating just my villa stop the geckos if it is far from the walkway?

How many visits does a new villa in Al Fayha need in year one?

At least every three months if it is close to the walkway. If it is further than 300 metres, visits may drop to every four months. In year two as construction completes, visits may reduce further.
