How we work

Inspect at night and find the source

We come at the hour it is actually moving, and establish which wall face it is living on, which lights are gathering its food, the entry points and the crevices it wedges into by day.

Treat the food source

We treat the flying and crawling insects on the wall faces, around the perimeter and around the lighting. Once the food goes, the wall stops being worth staying on.

Close the openings and clear the crevices

We seal the air-conditioner sleeve, screen the vents and drain outlets, deal with the underside of doors, and place a repellent in the crevices and behind panels so they move out before anything is closed.

The follow-up visit

We come back once the glued eggs have hatched, check the seals held, and re-treat any wall face where activity has returned.

Questions about this district

Why does the gecko enter the shop instead of staying outside?

The shop has exposed food or crumbs on the floor attracting small insects, and the gecko follows the food. Outside, the lights draw insects, so the gecko comes in hunting.

Will treating the apartment above the shop stop the geckos?

Not if the commercial shop below has food and open passages. The gecko originates from the shop, so treatment must start from the ground floor.

What if the shop is closed and geckos are still in the flat above?

The small insects may have established themselves before, or the gecko entered from elsewhere. We inspect all openings, gaps and outdoor lighting on the flat itself.

Will treating the shop affect the stock and stored goods?

The residual is safe on inventory if applied correctly around openings and seams only. We focus on external gaps and dark corners, not on open storage areas.

How many treatments does it take for both shop and flat?

Typically two minimum visits at least two weeks apart, to ensure all new hatchlings and glued eggs in the cracks are cleared.

Why do geckos come back two weeks after the first treatment?

Eggs cemented into cracks between walls hatch after two to three weeks, which is why we return to treat the new hatchlings.
