Cockroach control in Al Ghazzah Al Jadid Makkah
Al Ghazzah Al Jadid is a new district on the Al Laith road in south Makkah, where residential blocks sit beside commercial plots and shops, some still under construction. That mix changes the job: here a cockroach often reaches your kitchen from a shop on the street or from open ground next door, not from inside your flat alone. We trace it back to that source.
-
Targeted, not broadcast
Product goes into cracks and runways, never sprayed across open surfaces.
-
Told before we start
What we will use, where it goes, and what to cover or move before we arrive.
-
A follow-up visit
We return after the first treatment, because what survives it does not show on the day.
-
Homes and businesses
Apartments and villas, and kitchens and stores that need a record of each visit.
Why they keep coming back in Al Ghazzah Al Jadid
In flats people have just moved into here, the first cockroach we find is usually behind a fridge that arrived with the removal load, not in a kitchen where the nest began. The method is set out in full on what Cockroach control involves.
A new district, an imported cockroach
The nest does not start in the new building itself. It arrives with the packing cartons, the second-hand appliances and the furniture carried over from an older home. So the first thing we check is what came into the flat with you, not its fresh walls.
The ground-floor shop feeds the flats above
When a grocery or an eatery sits under the block on the commercial street, the source starts there and climbs the shared drain lines into the flats overhead. Treating your own flat leaves the factory running below, and the cockroaches return after every visit.
Ground that is still being built on
Open plots and building sites still sit between the finished blocks here. Digging and open drainage push the American cockroach towards the nearest occupied building, and it enters through service openings that have not yet been sealed. That is where we close the district off first.
The species and the place decide the method
Most buildings here are recently built, with new drainage runs, yet the gaps around service pipes and the unsealed points in fresh fit-outs give the American cockroach a way in from the disturbed ground around the block.
German cockroach
The German cockroach reaches the flats here inside shopping cartons and appliances, then spreads from the ground-floor shops up through the shared drainage into the floors above.
American cockroach
The larger American kind comes from the open ground and the new inspection chambers at the edge of the district, moving into buildings at night in search of moisture.
Appliance heat
The new kitchens here hold a lot of appliances, and the warmth of the fridge, the oven and the washing machine motor gives the cockroach a shelter that never cools at night.
The gap behind the fridge
In these new fit-outs the fridge is pushed into a tight recess, and the dark gap behind it beside the water inlet is the first place we open up.
Water before food
South Makkah is dry, so the cockroach looks for water before food, which is why we start from the damp points in the new bathroom and kitchen rather than the bin.
What you see at night
On the quiet streets of this district, the first cockroach you see on the wall at night points to a nest nearby, not to a passing visitor from outside.
How we work
-
1
Inspect and identify
We work through the kitchen, the bathrooms and the drain runs, and establish the species, the harbourage points and the moisture keeping them there.
-
2
Treat the harbourage
Gel bait into joints and cracks, targeted spray where it is warranted, and dust in the dry voids behind appliances.
-
3
Close what can be closed
We point out the gaps, the drain entries and anything needing a plumber, because exclusion does more to stop a return than repeating the spray.
-
4
The follow-up visit
We come back once the surviving egg cases have hatched, check the points and re-treat where needed.
What cockroach control includes
-
A recorded inspection
Species, harbourage points and moisture sources, established before anything is applied.
-
Placed gel bait
In cabinet joints, cracks and behind appliances, where the insect actually travels.
-
Targeted spray where needed
On runways and junctions, never on preparation surfaces or open floors.
-
Drain and entry treatment
Floor traps, shafts and pipe entries, which is where the larger species comes from.
-
Aftercare instructions
Ventilation, what to cover, and when surfaces can be cleaned without undoing the work.
-
A scheduled follow-up
A set date after the first treatment, and re-treatment of anything still active.
Questions about this district
There is a shop below my flat. Does that matter?
Yes. The grocery or eatery on the ground floor may be the real source, and cockroaches climb from it through the shared pipework into the flats above. We check the ground floor and the drain routes, not your flat alone, otherwise they return after every treatment.
I have just moved into a new flat. How did they get in?
The building is new, but what you brought with you is not. Cockroaches usually arrive inside second-hand appliances, packing cartons and furniture from your previous home, so we start by checking those items rather than the walls of the flat.
There is a vacant plot and a building site next door. Is that the cause?
Open ground and nearby building work push the American cockroach towards the nearest occupied building. It enters through service and drain openings that are not yet sealed, so we close off the entry points along the edge that faces the open land.
The district is newly drained, so why the large cockroaches?
The drainage network may be new, but the fresh inspection chambers at the edge of the district and along the Al Laith road stay an open route for the American cockroach to climb. We treat the internal drain points and seal the gaps around them.
My neighbour treated their flat. Will the cockroaches move to mine?
In these new blocks the shared pipework links the flats together, so treating one flat on its own can drive the cockroaches next door in escape. We treat the shared entries and the drain routes between the flats at the same time to prevent that.
I bought second-hand appliances for the new flat. What is the risk?
Second-hand appliances are one of the commonest ways the German cockroach travels into this district, since its eggs hide in the warmth of a fridge or oven. We check these appliances from the inside and treat their cavities before a nest settles in the new kitchen.
How much does cockroach control in Al Ghazzah Al Jadid cost?
It is set after the inspection, because the price follows the type of infestation, the size of the space, how far it has spread and the number of visits it needs. Send a photo and a description on WhatsApp and we will give you an estimate before we reach Al Ghazzah Al Jadid.
