In furnished units the appliances are pushed to the wall and never moved between one guest and the next, so the back of the fridge becomes a warm, dark refuge you rarely see.

Water before food

Cockroaches look for water before food, and the leaks in the towers' shared pipework, together with the valley's damp, supply it in bathrooms and under the basins.

I live in a tower, is treating just my flat enough?

In towers the flats share drainage and riser pipes, so cockroaches can return from another floor. We treat your flat and seal the pipe openings inside it, and where there is a shared source we recommend coordinating with the neighbours or the building management so the whole line is dealt with.

I let a furnished flat to pilgrims, how do I keep it clear between guests?

Fast turnover brings fresh eggs in with bags and provisions. After treatment we check the kitchen and cupboards, place lasting bait at the hiding points, and suggest a quick look through the drawers and the fridge before each new guest arrives, so nothing carried in has a chance to settle.

There is a restaurant under my tower, is it the source?

Often, yes. The kitchens of ground-floor shops are warm and rich in food, and cockroaches climb from them up through the pipework into the flats. We trace the line from the ground floor and treat the crossing points on the stairs and in the meter cupboards, not your flat alone.

Why do large cockroaches appear at the drains?

My neighbour treated their flat and now I see more, why?

When a neighbouring flat is sprayed, the cockroaches flee through the shared pipework to the nearest refuge, which is often yours. The answer is treatment at the same time, or bait that they carry back to the nest, rather than a repellent that just moves them from one door to the next.
