Cockroach control in Al Qararah Wa Al Naqa Makkah
Al Qararah Wa Al Naqa is really two places woven together: an old quarter northeast of the Haram, once known as Qararat Al Madha, where houses adjoin and share their drains, and fresh residential plots rising right beside it. That seam between old and new splits the cockroach job in two on a single street. Aged sewers breed the American cockroach, while furniture carried into new homes brings the German.

Targeted, not broadcast
Product goes into cracks and runways, never sprayed across open surfaces.

Told before we start
What we will use, where it goes, and what to cover or move before we arrive.
-
A follow-up visit
We return after the first treatment, because what survives it does not show on the day.

Homes and businesses
Apartments and villas, and kitchens and stores that need a record of each visit.
Why they keep coming back in Al Qararah Wa Al Naqa
In the old quarter's houses we find them climbing up from floor drains in the kitchen and bathroom, whereas in the new villas it often starts with a box or an appliance just moved in. The method is set out in full on what Cockroach control involves.
Aged drains shared between old houses
The old houses of Qararat Al Madha stand wall to wall and share single drain lines, so the American cockroach travels under the tiling from one home to its neighbour. Treating one flat cannot hold while the source sits in the shared pipe, so we follow the line, not just the room.
The new plots on your doorstep
The new residential plots pressed against the quarter are furnished with pieces and appliances brought in from elsewhere, and the German cockroach rides along in the drawers and behind the motors. A new house is not automatically a cockroach-free one; it can take them in on the day you move.
What sits under the homes near the Haram
Close to the Haram, the ground floors in the quarter hold small shops, stores and kitchens serving visitors to the mosque, and their heat and constant food feed a colony that climbs at night into the flats above. That is why we look at the whole building, not your flat alone.
The species and the place decide the method
The name Qararah describes a low basin where rainwater and drainage settle and are slow to dry. That steady damp around the pipework near the Haram is exactly what keeps the American cockroach active in the drains all year, not just in summer.
German cockroach
Most common in the kitchens of the new villas on the neighbouring plots. It arrives inside moving boxes and second-hand appliances, then settles into the warm drawers and cabinets beside the hob.
American cockroach
Larger, and it comes up from the old sewer network under the quarter. The damp held in this low basin gives it steady water, so it rises from kitchen and bathroom drains after dark.
Appliance heat
In the narrow old kitchens they gather behind the fridge and the water heater, where the motor stays warm. They rest against that heat by day and come out once the light goes off.
The gap behind the fridge
Old kitchens push the fridge close to the wall, and that dark, warm gap running down to the drain pipe is the first place we check in the quarter's homes.
Water before food
On this low, damp ground thirst drives them before hunger, so they gather at bathroom leaks and under the sink. Treating those water sources matters more than hiding food on its own.
What you see at night
In the old quarter's alleys near the Haram the American cockroach shows on walls and around drains after dark. Seeing it indoors by day means the numbers are high and a nest is close.
How we work
-
1
Inspect and identify
We work through the kitchen, the bathrooms and the drain runs, and establish the species, the harbourage points and the moisture keeping them there.
-
2
Treat the harbourage
Gel bait into joints and cracks, targeted spray where it is warranted, and dust in the dry voids behind appliances.
-
3
Close what can be closed
We point out the gaps, the drain entries and anything needing a plumber, because exclusion does more to stop a return than repeating the spray.
-
4
The follow-up visit
We come back once the surviving egg cases have hatched, check the points and re-treat where needed.
What cockroach control includes
-
A recorded inspection
Species, harbourage points and moisture sources, established before anything is applied.
-
Placed gel bait
In cabinet joints, cracks and behind appliances, where the insect actually travels.
-
Targeted spray where needed
On runways and junctions, never on preparation surfaces or open floors.
-
Drain and entry treatment
Floor traps, shafts and pipe entries, which is where the larger species comes from.
-
Aftercare instructions
Ventilation, what to cover, and when surfaces can be cleaned without undoing the work.
-
A scheduled follow-up
A set date after the first treatment, and re-treatment of anything still active.
Questions about this district
We just moved into a new-build here, why cockroaches already?
They most likely came with you on moving day, inside packing boxes or second-hand furniture and appliances, or through the new drain connections before they were fully sealed. A new house does not mean an empty one, so we start with the kitchen and the drainage points.
Our house is old and shares drains with the neighbours, does that matter?
It does. In the old quarter the adjoining houses share single drain lines, so the American cockroach moves underground between the units. We treat the entry points, wall joints and drains in your home, and where possible we recommend treating the connected houses at the same time.
The neighbour treated their old house, will roaches move to us?
They can. When an adjoining house is treated, the cockroaches flee through cracks and the shared pipe to the nearest warm, damp shelter, which may be yours. We seal the crossing points in your shared wall and set bait along their runs rather than relying on visible spraying alone.
We brought second-hand kitchen units into the new villa, are they the source?
Very possibly. The German cockroach and its egg cases hide in the joints of used cabinets and behind drawers, so they travel into your new kitchen intact. We inspect the moved furniture and its joints and treat them before a colony can establish itself in the new home.
Our house is on low ground where water settles, does that make it worse?
Yes. Qararah is a low basin that is slow to dry, and the damp lingering near the drains gives the American cockroach a permanent water supply, so it stays active. We focus on drying out leak points and treating the drains, because cutting off water matters more than food here.
Building work continues on the plots nearby, does it push roaches to us?
It can. Digging the ground and laying drains on the new plots disturbs the American cockroach's nests, so it looks for shelter in the nearest occupied house. We watch your boundary and the points where pipes enter, and treat them before the new arrival settles in.
How much does cockroach control in Al Qararah Wa Al Naqa cost?
It is set after the inspection, because the price follows the type of infestation, the size of the space, how far it has spread and the number of visits it needs. Send a photo and a description on WhatsApp and we will give you an estimate before we reach Al Qararah Wa Al Naqa.
