Each floor opens onto shared water pipework and air distribution. Moisture accumulates on stairwell walls, numbered landings and handrails before it reaches any individual unit. We disinfect internal stairwell surfaces, railings and floor numbering plates, and remove the covers on shared HVAC plenums where dust collects.

Clean what we are about to treat

We take the film of dust and grease off the surfaces that are in scope, so the product reaches the surface itself. This is preparation for the treatment, not general house cleaning.

Apply it, and hold the contact time

Hand work on the touch points, a product matched to each surface, and the surface left visibly wet for as long as that material needs before it is dried off. Cold fogging comes last, for what a cloth cannot reach.

Questions about this district

Are shared stairs and entrance lobbies included in the disinfection?

Yes. Shared entrances, stairwells, railings and numbered landing plates are all included. We treat every contact point and adjust the method for the surface type: plaster walls take longer to dry than painted ones.

Does the quality of finishes on repeated floors affect the result?

Yes, greatly. Older finishes have more cracks, and some new ones use cheap inks or varnishes that stop the product from soaking in. We look at each finish first and choose accordingly.

Does the smell come from stairwell surfaces or from pipes running through them?

Can disinfection of shared stairs affect the air quality inside individual units?

Some vapour may enter through return air vents. We recommend closing return air dampers during treatment and running extract fans for hours afterwards to clear the stairwells.
