Questions about this district

Our villa garden waters regularly and has a fountain. Does that breed mosquitoes quickly?

Extremely so. Fountains and permanent water features create ideal breeding grounds. Stagnant water around plantings and decorative pools generates large mosquito populations within weeks. Treatment must target the garden and eliminate standing water before the mosquito season.

Our villa faces commercial shops on the main street. Does that affect us directly?

It does substantially. Commercial kitchens provide food and water for cockroaches and rodents, which migrate into neighbouring villas seeking shelter. Villas near the commercial strip need stronger treatment and shorter intervals than properties at a distance.

The wooden boundary fence stays wet from garden irrigation. Does that attract insects?

Damp timber attracts wood eating insects and termites. High moisture from constant irrigation speeds timber decay and multiplies the insects feeding on it. Treatment must focus on the fence base and inject pesticide into the damp wood.

Our villa stands next to an apartment block. Do insects migrate from the flats into the villa?
