Inspect and confirm

We confirm it is fleas rather than another biting insect, and fix the animal's sleeping points, its routes and the shaded ground outside. Where there is no animal in the house, we look for the host they came from.

Treat the floors and soft furnishings

A residual with an insect growth regulator, worked into the carpet base, the floor and wall junction and the edges under furniture. The regulator stops a larva becoming an adult, which is what breaks the cycle.

The host and the shade outside

We treat the shaded ground and the outdoor lying spots, and we agree with you that the animal's veterinary treatment happens on the same day, because any host left out of the job re-seeds the floor.

Vacuuming, then the follow-up visit

Repeated vacuuming vibrates the floor and draws the pupae out onto a treated surface. We come back about two weeks later to take the emerged generation before it lays.

Does treatment include the garden and landscaping?

Yes, treatment of the garden and green areas around the home is essential. The garden may be the source of repeated reinfestations, and treatment covers damp shaded zones under trees and outdoor furniture.

We have pets. Do we need to evacuate them during treatment?

No evacuation is needed unless the animals themselves need treatment. We recommend consulting a vet. The animal and home are treated in coordination to break the flea lifecycle.

The shared garden is public and dirty. Who is responsible for treating it?

A shared garden is the responsibility of the district management or the municipality. If infestation is coming from there, we recommend notifying management immediately. We will treat your private garden in any case.

Is a complete garden clean-up before treatment necessary?

Basic tidying only: remove dead leaves and branches from under trees and outdoor furniture. We do not deep-clean the soil and grass, but apply treatment over it.

Three weeks after treatment, new fleas appeared from the neighbour's garden.

Fleas may return from a neighbour's garden or the shared area if it was not treated. A return visit is necessary in this district, and you may need seasonal preventive treatment because of the constant moisture.
