Flea control in Badr Makkah
Badr is a renamed scheme on the western sub municipality north of Makkah, next to Al Khadra and Al Usaylah where the Fourth Ring Road meets the approach to King Faisal Road. Planned residential plots and scattered new apartment buildings stand on rising ground with services still sparse. Fleas arrive with families moving from older areas, but wild animal sources are few. Wide spacing between homes and thin services reduce stray animal traffic.

Why they keep coming back in Badr
New homes and apartment blocks are spaced widely apart, and services are still establishing, reducing the presence of stray animals and reducing commercial activity. The method is set out in full on Flea control in detail.
Large spacing between homes slows flea spread from animals
Badr is dispersed with wide gaps between homes, reducing stray animal movement and density. But families moving from old areas unknowingly carry fleas in furniture. Treatment of furniture before delivery is essential.
Limited services mean few shops and food sources for animals
The new scheme has sparse services and few shops or restaurants. Stray animals are scarce because no food waste attracts them. Fleas arrive mainly with used furniture purchased from markets, not from established animal populations.
Raised bare land offers little shelter for wild animals
The ground is high, open and sparsely treed. Wild animals prefer shade and moisture which are rare here. Fleas originate primarily from relocating families, not from wild wildlife.
Badr on the map
Badr sits about 2.5 km from Usaylah and about 3 km from Khadra.

The base of the carpet
Carpets in new Badr homes are modern but backed with rubber that traps moisture if fleas arrive via furniture, accelerating breeding.
Where the animal sleeps
Wild animals in the district are very few because the land is raised, open and exposed, reducing natural infestation sources.
Flea dirt
Flea droppings appear in new homes only if families unknowingly carry fleas in old furniture from previous locations.
Furniture edges and upholstery
Edges of new modern furniture are small and smooth, offering less shelter so fleas prefer bed seams if they appear.
Joints in a hard floor
Joints between new modern floor tiles are tight and dry, reducing nymph shelter compared with old construction.
Damp shade outdoors
Damp shade around homes is sparse because the land is raised and open, reducing shelter for stray animals.
How we work
-
1
Inspect and confirm
We confirm it is fleas rather than another biting insect, and fix the animal's sleeping points, its routes and the shaded ground outside. Where there is no animal in the house, we look for the host they came from.
-
2
Treat the floors and soft furnishings
A residual with an insect growth regulator, worked into the carpet base, the floor and wall junction and the edges under furniture. The regulator stops a larva becoming an adult, which is what breaks the cycle.
-
3
The host and the shade outside
We treat the shaded ground and the outdoor lying spots, and we agree with you that the animal's veterinary treatment happens on the same day, because any host left out of the job re-seeds the floor.
-
4
Vacuuming, then the follow-up visit
Repeated vacuuming vibrates the floor and draws the pupae out onto a treated surface. We come back about two weeks later to take the emerged generation before it lays.
What flea control includes
-
Confirmation before anything is applied
Telling a flea bite from the alternatives, and fixing the resting places and the centre of the infestation.
-
Carpet base and floor line treatment
A residual and a growth regulator worked down into the pile and under furniture edges, not laid across the visible surface.
-
Shade and damp outdoors
The shaded patches by entrances and around drains and taps, the only ground outside where larvae survive.
-
The source when there is no pet
Stray cats sheltering under an outside stair, or rodents in the voids, each handled on a different footing.
-
The vacuum schedule and aftercare
When to vacuum, how to empty the machine, and why the carpet is not steam cleaned afterwards. Ventilation time we give you on the call, because it changes with the product and the space.
-
A follow-up timed to emergence
A date about two weeks on, timed to the pupae leaving the cocoons, and re-treatment of any room where fresh bites are still starting.
The character of Badr
New development: ongoing construction and vacant plots between the homes
A new development means fleas arrive primarily from relocating families and used furniture, not from wild animals or established local populations, significantly lowering infestation rates compared with older districts.
Questions about this district
Badr is brand new. Where would fleas come from in a new scheme?
Fleas arrive with relocating families from old homes in furniture, clothing and luggage. Stray animals are scarce in new Badr because services and food sources are limited.
We buy second hand furniture from the market. How likely to carry fleas?
Very likely, especially from old houses. Inspect furniture before purchase, steam treat it, or leave it in strong sun for ten days before bringing it inside.
Homes are far apart. Is this area less exposed than dense districts?
Yes, large spacing slows flea transmission between homes. But if your family carries fleas from an old house, rapid treatment is still necessary.
Services are sparse and few shops. Will stray animals bring fleas?
Very unlikely. Stray animals prefer areas close to food sources and shops. New Badr has limited services and little food waste to attract them.
Should we treat our new home before we move in?
Inspect carefully for fleas in furniture and possessions before entry. Preventive treatment is cheaper than treating full infestation if someone brought fleas in their belongings.
Raised bare land around us. Will wild animals bring fleas?
Wild animals are very few here because the land is raised, exposed and sparsely shaded. Fleas originate primarily from relocating families, not from nature.
How much does flea control in Badr cost?
It is set after the inspection, because the price follows the type of infestation, the size of the space, how far it has spread and the number of visits it needs. Send a photo and a description on WhatsApp and we will give you an estimate before we reach Badr.
