Washing and scouring bin bases and floor traps, and a foam that treats the film inside the pipe, because removing the medium is the only thing that stops production.

A fly spends most of its time settled on ceilings, cables, the tops of walls and the sunlit wall outside the door, and that is where the residual and the bait go, not into the air.

Proofing and the follow-up

We close the ways in and sort out the screens and the doors, then come back on a date matching the emergence of the pupae that were already in the medium on the first visit.

What is different about South Sub-Municipality

The South sub municipality runs from the edge of Old Makkah Road down to Al Khumrah and the southern corniche. Dense residential districts sit beside new subdivisions such as Al Sanabil and Al Taawun, warehouse fringes such as Al Saruriyah and Al Sarawat, and an old seaside settlement at Al Quzayn. Open stormwater channels cross the housing, and the warehouses, the vegetable and livestock markets and the nearby Islamic Port and Industrial City give pests shelter, food and year round humidity. Pressure is greatest in the older quarters, where drainage networks are ageing.

Yes, a primary one. Vacant plots trap water and become fly hotbeds, and neighbouring homes are so close that they cannot escape the flies they produce.

Does ongoing construction in the neighbourhood cause worse fly problems than normal?

Yes, construction breaks ground and provides moisture and nutrition for flies. Numbers rise with every new building phase.

Is treating just the house enough if vacant plots sit alongside it?
