Small restaurants and bathrooms harbour standing water in permanent gaps

Every small hotel and every seasonal flat has a tiny kitchen or shared kitchen space and a bathroom or shared bathrooms. Water from these spaces does not dry in narrow dark voids. Small restaurants on the ground floor leave standing water below the floor.

Yes. Small restaurants and shared kitchens have constant water. It drips below the floor and into voids between the restaurant and the flat above. This is warm polluted water with food in it, a very fast breeding environment.

Does a very clean seasonal flat protect us from mosquitoes from the hotel below?

No. Even a very clean flat gets mosquitoes through the voids between the floors and between the kitchen and bathroom in the hotel below. Mosquitoes do not wait for mess or dirt. Water and darkness are enough.

Many families come and go from the flat every week. Does the mosquito adapt to that?

Mosquitoes do not care who lives in the flat. They care about water, darkness, warmth and food. The water from the bathroom and kitchen in the flat or in the hotel below is continuous even if families change.

Do you treat the gaps between hotels and flats or each one separately?

The shared gaps between buildings are the real problem. We treat the voids and openings between buildings first, then the flat or hotel separately. Treatment without treating the shared gaps will not solve the problem.
