Mesh on the vents, the gap under the door dealt with, the sleeve around a pipe run closed, and water put back into the drain nobody uses. Exclusion saves a spray that would otherwise repeat forever.

A residual band at the base of the wall outside and around door and window openings, with placed product inside joints and closed voids where it is warranted, and no open spray across living surfaces.

Questions about this district

My flat is directly above the restaurant. Will insects and smells climb to my home?

Yes. Insects, smells and steam from the restaurant will attempt entry to your flat. The programme focuses on sealing every gap around shared pipes very tightly and on monitoring points that tell us any entry attempts from the restaurant.

The shopping centre stays open all day. Do insects thrive in it all the time?

Yes. A centre open all day creates constant pressure on the flats. The preventive programme does not stop; we may increase visits because pressure is continuous, not seasonal.

In Ramadan restaurants are closed during the day. Does pressure drop?

It may drop slightly during the day but pressure returns fully at night when restaurants open. The programme continues at full strength because night time pressure is sufficient to maintain it.

There are many other shops beside the restaurants. Is pressure higher than a district with one or two shops?

Yes greatly. The number of shops and restaurants in one centre means pressure is much higher than a district with only one or two shops. Monitoring points may record high pressure continuously.

Water and oil from the restaurants may leak into my flat. Does the programme solve that?

The preventive programme stops insects, but the leak itself may need building repair. The preventive barrier protects your flat from insects even if a leak happens, but stopping the leak at source is the best solution.

My flat is beside the shopping centre. Do I get less pressure than a flat directly above?

You may get slightly less pressure, but you are still exposed to insects from side gaps and shared pipes. The programme protects all flats around the shopping centre with equal strength.
