Bedding is bagged and sealed inside the room, then washed and dried hot. Steam runs along the seams and edges, because heat reaches the cemented eggs that a liquid never will.

A non-repellent product goes onto the harbourage itself, with a dust into voids and screw holes. We do not use a repellent aerosol, because it drives the insect deeper into the wall and into the next room.

Monitoring and the follow-up visit

A sealed encasement goes onto the mattress and the base, with monitors under the bed legs, then we return once the remaining eggs have hatched and re-treat anything still active.

Several towers on our street use one shared laundry, is the linen checked too?

Yes. Bedding that has been through a shared laundry gets checked once it is back in the room, because the seams can carry the insect between folded loads even after washing, especially where several flats send bedding to the same facility in season.

The same cleaner works several flats in our tower with one cart, is that a risk?

Not from the cart itself, since bed bugs do not travel well over hard surfaces or hallway tiles. The real risk sits in each mattress seam, so we check every flat's bed on its own rather than treating the corridor or the cleaning trolley as the source.

Furniture movers use the same service lift for several flats in the tower, could that spread bed bugs?

Bed bugs do not spread through lift air or its panels, they need direct contact with an infested item to move at all. So we inspect the new or second hand piece itself before it enters the bedroom, rather than treating the lift as the point of concern.

Our furnished flat stands empty for months after Umrah season, does it need checking before letting again?

Yes. Months of vacancy do not clear bed bugs on their own, they can go long stretches without feeding and wait for the next guest. It is worth checking the mattress and its seams before the flat takes its first booking of the following season.

A shared luggage trolley in our building's entrance serves every flat, does it carry bed bugs between floors?

The metal trolley itself rarely harbours the insect, the real risk is inside a suitcase that has come from an infested room. We check bags before they are opened in the bedroom rather than treating the shared trolley as the source.

Our building sits on the steep slope of Ajyad Al Sadd with long outdoor stairs, does that change the check?

The slope makes no difference to how we work, because bed bugs stay close to the bed they feed from and do not travel far up or down a staircase on their own. The inspection still centres on the room itself, not the stairs or the entrance.
