Shared stairs mean shared infestation

When one stairwell serves dozens of flats or hotel rooms, rodents entering through a gap below the ground floor door can move up the inner walls and into ten separate units without appearing in the stairs at all. Treating one flat leaves the stairwell untreated, and the rodents simply move to the next flat down or up.

Stacked kitchens create vertical highways

Kitchen pipework and main water lines pass through walls and beneath floors between flats. A rodent in a second floor kitchen can climb to the third through pipe voids, especially if those gaps were never sealed. The flats were not built to stop internal movement.

Old building stock on the hillsides feeds new infestation

If I treat my flat alone, will the building's problem be solved?

No, because rodents return from adjoining flats through shared walls and common floor voids. The whole building must be treated at once, with entry points sealed at building level first, before any bait is placed.
