How we work

Survey the roof and the facade

We walk the roof, the projections, the condenser platforms and the shafts, separate the nesting positions from the perching ones, and measure and photograph every ledge.

Strip the nests and treat the parasites

Droppings are wetted before they are lifted so nothing goes airborne dry, bagged closed, and the nest position is treated for ticks and mites before the surface is sanitised.

Close and fit

Netting tensioned on a perimeter wire with no gap at the corners, spikes or wire on the narrow projections, metal mesh across vents and shafts, and the roof drains freed of the nest material packing them.

The follow-up visit

We come back to check the tension, the corners and any position the flock has moved to, and correct what has slackened before a bird finds it.

Questions about this district

The garden has plants and constant irrigation, do pigeons nest there?

Yes, pigeons favour heavily irrigated gardens. They drink the water and feed on seeds and grain, then nest on the roof above the garden. Treatment focuses on the roof and ledges first.

The villa is old and the ledges are weak; will fitting damage the concrete?

It may damage poor render. We use strong adhesive instead of drilling, or fit to separate metal frames that do not touch the ledge itself.

The compound has dozens of villas; how do we get everyone's approval?

We recommend contacting the compound management first. If the problem is the shared tank, their approval is sufficient. If it is the villa itself, only the owner's permission is needed.

After treatment will pigeons come from the neighbouring villas?

If neighbouring villas are unprotected, they may try. But if they find treated villas too well defended, they will look elsewhere rather than attack the barriers.

Will garden netting spoil the look of the villa?

Fine mesh and neutral colours do not affect appearance much. But the best approach is protecting the roof and ledges instead of the garden, because pigeons nest above it, not in it.

There is a hotel next to the villa, does that bring more pigeons here?

A large hotel beside villas increases the area's appeal to pigeons considerably. We recommend treating all villa facades that face the hotel to a higher standard.
