Bird and pigeon control in Al Naseem Makkah
Al Naseem is a planned residential district in south-east Makkah on the Fourth Ring Road and Fatimah Al Zahra Street, with villas and apartments, visitor hotels and public facilities such as Al Noor Specialist Hospital and Aisha Al Rajhi Mosque. Pigeons arrive from old farm land and open ground to the south and roost on villa and apartment roofs. Control here requires care because the area is busy with visitors, patients and hotel staff moving around constantly.

Why they keep coming back in Al Naseem
Villa owners in this area request treatment urgently because external villa appearance matters to them, and pigeon fouling on the facade and garden is immediately noticed. The method is set out in full on the full Bird and pigeon control page.
Private villas with small gardens and private roofs
Al Naseem villas have private roofs and personal gardens where pigeons perch on the roof, drink from the water tank and leave droppings on garden furniture and small pools below.
Tall hotels and apartment blocks above low villa rooflines
Visitor hotels along King Faisal Road are very tall and their high roofs provide shelter for pigeons. Birds fly easily from the hotel roof down to neighbouring villa roofs, bringing families with them.
Old farms and open ground to the south as continuous pigeon source
Al Awali and the old Husayniyah farms south of Al Naseem have wells and open uncovered ground and livestock. Pigeons use these as a permanent base and migrate north into the villas and apartments constantly.
Al Naseem on the map
Al Naseem sits about 2.5 km from Al Sanabel and about 3 km from Al Jamiah.
Open in Google MapsThe building decides which deterrent works
Planned district on wide streets with villas and residential apartment buildings, visitor hotels and a major hospital and mosque serving a moderate resident population.
Ledge width
Ledge width on planned district villas is modern and strong and very easy to fit mesh to, and both spikes and netting carry their weight without problems or slippage.
Air conditioning platforms
Air conditioning platforms on quality villas are well engineered but pigeons find the space behind them sunny, quiet and perfect for nesting sites they return to repeatedly.
The nest itself
Nests on villas are typically single or pairs, so removal of one or two nests happens quickly in one work session.
The droppings pattern
Droppings appear on garden furniture and pools and concrete roof surfaces, leaving white and brown stains on floor tiles and paving.
Openings and shafts
Windows on villas are modern and large, and pigeons can enter if left even slightly open without mesh protection fitted outside.
Around the roof tank
The water tank on a villa roof is protected by modern design but pigeons still stand on the tank cover and droppings land beside the tank and on the water delivery pipe.
How we work
-
1
Survey the roof and the facade
We walk the roof, the projections, the condenser platforms and the shafts, separate the nesting positions from the perching ones, and measure and photograph every ledge.
-
2
Strip the nests and treat the parasites
Droppings are wetted before they are lifted so nothing goes airborne dry, bagged closed, and the nest position is treated for ticks and mites before the surface is sanitised.
-
3
Close and fit
Netting tensioned on a perimeter wire with no gap at the corners, spikes or wire on the narrow projections, metal mesh across vents and shafts, and the roof drains freed of the nest material packing them.
-
4
The follow-up visit
We come back to check the tension, the corners and any position the flock has moved to, and correct what has slackened before a bird finds it.
What bird and pigeon control includes
-
A recorded survey
Every ledge, condenser platform and shaft, photographed, with nesting separated from perching before anything is chosen.
-
Nest removal and drain clearing
Lifted wet rather than swept dry, bagged closed, and the roof drains freed of the nest material packing them.
-
Parasite treatment and sanitising
The nest position treated for ticks and mites, then the surface the droppings sat on sanitised.
-
Sealing and fitting the deterrents
Netting tensioned on a perimeter wire, spikes or wire on narrow projections, and metal mesh across ventilation openings.
-
Aftercare instructions
The condensate water, food left on the roof, and what should not sit beside a ledge if the attraction is to stay gone.
-
A follow-up on tension and corners
Netting slackens and corners open over time; the visit corrects that and closes any new position.
What is different about Al Aziziyah (Makkah) Sub-Municipality
Al Aziziyah sub municipality runs from the Bin Dawood markets to the Al Hada road and carries pilgrim traffic to Mina. Hotel towers and furnished apartment blocks fill and empty with the Hajj and Ramadan seasons, and the kitchens, restaurants and markets along Al Masjid Al Haram Road and King Abdulaziz Road leave food waste at every peak. Southwards the fabric loosens into villas and planned streets in An Naseem and Al Awali, then Al Abidiyah's campus and the old farms of Al Husayniyah, where Wadi Uranah holds water after rain and farm enclosures shelter rodents and reptiles.
Questions about this district
My private villa has a surrounding garden; do pigeons nest in the garden or only on the roof?
Pigeons nest on the roof, not in the garden. They descend into the garden to drink from taps and hose pipes and leave droppings on the grass and outdoor furniture.
A large hotel building is next to my villa; do pigeons fly from the hotel roof onto mine?
Yes, birds fly very easily from the hotel's high roof down to the villa roof next door, and they bring families with them. Your roof needs complete protection.
The hospital nearby also complains of pigeons; should we treat the whole area together?
The hospital, villas and apartments each need separate treatment for their own buildings, but we can coordinate between the different sites to reduce the overall pigeon population in the district.
Humidity from the Al Awali area and old farms makes our roofs damp; does this damage mesh?
Humidity does not damage metal mesh or new spikes, but we clean them regularly so iron does not rust in this moisture.
King Faisal Road has exposed food displays; does this bring more pigeons to the district?
Restaurants and sweet shops on King Faisal Road attract pigeons strongly, but protecting your villa roof stops them settling and nesting in your home.
Does roof work require the family to leave the villa or can we stay during the fitting?
Roof work is safe and makes little noise. We prefer a time when the villa is less busy so access to the roof is easy and quick.
How much does bird and pigeon control in Al Naseem cost?
It is set after the inspection, because the price follows the type of infestation, the size of the space, how far it has spread and the number of visits it needs. Send a photo and a description on WhatsApp and we will give you an estimate before we reach Al Naseem.
