Questions about this district

Should we disinfect the shop before visitors arrive or after closing in the evening?

After closing and at the end of the working day is best: visitors are gone and staff have left for the day. We apply the disinfectant and leave it to dry overnight, so the shop opens clean the next morning. If we treat during business hours the disinfectant fails because visitor movement breaks its contact with surfaces.

How often should we disinfect an ihram shop per week given the footfall?

High traffic shops such as ihram stores need disinfection three to four times a week. People enter and leave every hour, and garments tried on are touched by dozens of people. Regular disinfection is more essential here than for quiet office spaces.

Will disinfecting the shop affect the smell of clothes and ihram fabrics on display?

The disinfectant we use is safe for fabric and has a light smell that fades as it dries. Displayed garments may pick up a faint odour but it vanishes within hours. If you worry, leave clothes uncovered after treatment so they dry completely and the smell goes.

If eight companies share a small tower with one entrance, do we disinfect each office separately?

Yes, each office is treated on its own schedule to suit the owner. However the shared entrance, stairs and lift will be disinfected separately at a different time, and we coordinate with all the office owners to avoid scheduling conflicts.
