Al Fayha has extensive gardens and regular daily watering, and soft soil retains moisture easily. Every low spot becomes a mosquito marsh. We focus on drainage, drying low points and raising soil around walls and buildings.

Wide roads and open spaces draw rodents easily

The district's planned design means wide streets and open green spaces with few barriers. Rodents move freely through open ground and enter rest houses from several directions. We focus on metal barriers, entry points and small holes in footings.

Birds and pets attract scavengers and rodents

Pigeons, birds and pets in gardens leave food scraps and droppings, and rodents come for the food. We focus on clearing crumbs and waste and barriers around small pens and cages.

The wall in Al Fayha encloses wide open green spaces, and the treatment band must be strong and thick because pressure comes from the extensive gardens around it.

Soil heaps and blocks around the garden and house are damp from constant watering and hide rodents and spiders beneath them. We move all heaps and expose ground around walls and buildings fully.

Standing water

Standing water from continuous irrigation pools in every low spot and mosquitoes emerge from it in large numbers. Every corner and slope needs inspection, drainage and drying.

The feed store

The rest house store may hold tools or dry grain, and garden moisture makes it attractive to pests. We inspect the store, gaps around it, doors and windows.

Pens and bedding

Small pens for poultry, rabbits or sheep need strong protection from mice and rodents. Bedding must be fresh, footings treated and doors locked tight.

We walk the boundary, the feed store, the pens, the water sources and the buildings, record the species present, the burrows, the entry points and every standing water source, and number the monitoring positions on a plan.

The piles, the rubble, the fallen dates, the feed sacks pushed up against the wall. On any large plot these gather simply because there is room for them, and clearing them brings the numbers down before a single product is used.

The perimeter band and targeted treatment

A band at the foot of the wall and the buildings, treatment into the burrows and cracks, locked rodent stations fixed along the route, and mosquito breeding sites treated in the water itself.

Scheduled visits and a sheet each time

We come back on an agreed schedule, read the same points, renew the band the sun and the irrigation have used up, and write down what was found, what was applied and where, and what the site needs closed.

Fixed and numbered along one route, and closed so that neither a child's hand nor an animal on the site can get into them.

What to cover, where to move animal water bowls, when irrigation can start again without washing the band off, and the ventilation time, which we give you on the call because it changes with the product and the space.

Mixed villas and apartments together mean pest types are varied and pressure comes from several sources. Neighbouring villas may leave food scraps in their gardens, and apartment blocks may shed pests from older footings. We focus on boundaries, gaps between properties and between different building types.

The garden is large and watered daily. Will treatment work?

Yes, but exterior treatment needs more repetition because watering weakens it. We focus on drainage and barriers around walls and buildings rather than spraying the whole garden.

We have pigeons and birds in the garden. Do they attract rodents?

Yes, birds leave food scraps and rodents come for it. We focus on daily cleanup of droppings and protecting pens with strong metal barriers and locking doors at dusk.

The gaps under the footings are very large. How do we seal them?

Large voids under footings usually mean unstable ground. We seal them with mineral dust and strong silicone and install metal barriers at exposed points.

The district is new and building still goes on nearby. Does it matter?

Building work in surrounding areas flushes pests from disturbed footings. We increase preventive treatment around the rest house during neighbouring construction.

Do we need more mosquito treatment or rodent treatment?

Both are problems, but mosquitoes need intensive seasonal treatment and rodents need year round management. The programme balances them, shifting the emphasis by season.

The garden is next to a main road. Does the traffic matter?

The main road is not immediately next door, but traffic does draw rodents and insects from the wider area. We focus on barriers around the street facing wall and open spaces directly adjacent.
