Fly control in Badr Makkah
Badr is a new district where construction continues and vacant plots surround every residential unit. Flies migrate from undeveloped land, warehouses and the damp soil around foundations into newly built flats. Treating the flat alone will not stop them because the breeding sources remain active in the plots and construction sites outside your walls.

Why they keep coming back in Badr
Flies appear in new empty apartments and freshly occupied units in surprisingly high numbers because the breeding sources around the construction site are beyond direct household control. The method is set out in full on our Fly control service.
Vacant plots as permanent fly sources
The open scheme leaves vacant land between residential units. This ground provides damp soil, refuse and building debris that become fly breeding sites. Flies move directly from these areas into adjoining apartments, and treating your flat alone will not stop their arrival from the surrounding plots.
Ongoing construction and contractor waste
Building sites around you create perfect fly conditions: turned wet soil, standing water in excavation holes, and construction waste. Soil disturbance and constant moisture speed development. Contractors do not maintain sterile environments, so flies breed freely and spread to nearby residential units.
Warehouses and non-residential facilities
Adjacent warehouses provide damper environments and more organic waste than flats, allowing flies to breed in vast numbers there. They then move easily into nearby apartments. Treating your flat whilst the adjoining warehouse remains untreated is ineffective.
Badr on the map
Badr sits about 2.5 km from Usaylah and about 3 km from Khadra.
Open in Google MapsWhere the flies are actually coming from
Planned residential plots on slightly elevated ground where groundwater sits close to the surface, with warehouses and vacant land scattered between the housing units, and essential services still incomplete or spaced widely.
House fly
House flies are drawn to refuse and scraps in new apartments and freshly occupied units, particularly when cleaning services are slow to establish routines.
Blow fly
Blow flies breed in damp soil and standing water around building sites and vacant plots much faster than in dry locations, because moisture is always present.
Fermenting residue
Building waste and organic refuse left unmanaged in vacant land provide both food and habitat for larvae, and moisture from soil disturbance keeps conditions suitable.
The bin base
The bin base on damp soil and high groundwater becomes a direct breeding site. Incomplete drainage aggravates water pooling around residential units.
The film inside a drain
Incomplete drain runs and small pools around foundations provide environments where the biofilm forms and supports fly populations continuously.
The service door and its mesh
Service door meshes on new flats may be loose or cracked from shipping or installation, allowing fly entry from the surrounding construction zone and vacant plots.
How we work
-
1
Inspect and trace the source
We trace the flies back to their medium: waste and the bin area, floor traps, drain runs and any standing organic wetness, and we identify the species from its size, its flight and where it settles.
-
2
Treat the breeding medium
Washing and scouring bin bases and floor traps, and a foam that treats the film inside the pipe, because removing the medium is the only thing that stops production.
-
3
Treat the resting surfaces
A fly spends most of its time settled on ceilings, cables, the tops of walls and the sunlit wall outside the door, and that is where the residual and the bait go, not into the air.
-
4
Proofing and the follow-up
We close the ways in and sort out the screens and the doors, then come back on a date matching the emergence of the pupae that were already in the medium on the first visit.
What fly control includes
-
A source tracing inspection
The species, the breeding medium and the route in, established before anything is applied.
-
Drains and floor traps
Scouring the film stuck inside the pipe and treating it with foam, which is where drain flies come from and almost nowhere else.
-
Residual on the resting surfaces
Ceilings, cables, the tops of walls and the sunlit wall outside the door, kept off food preparation surfaces.
-
Fly bait in protected positions
An attractant bait set at bin areas and service entrances, out of reach of children and pets and away from food.
-
Aftercare instructions
Ventilation, what to cover, and what needs a screen, an air curtain or a different waste routine.
-
A scheduled follow-up
A set date matching the emergence of the pupae, and re-treatment of any source still producing.
The character of Badr
New development: ongoing construction and vacant plots between the homes
Ongoing construction and vacant plots in Badr mean the primary fly sources lie outside your direct control. Treating the flat must reach the external breeding source first, not the other way around.
Questions about this district
My apartment is brand new but flies are extremely heavy. Why is this?
The flat itself is not the problem. Fly sources surround the construction: vacant plots, damp soil, and nearby warehouses. The new apartment attracts flies from these external sources regardless of its age or condition.
Warehouses are directly next to us. Should I treat only my flat?
No. Treating your flat alone will reduce numbers temporarily, but flies will return from the warehouse. The warehouses need separate treatment or at minimum co-ordination with their operators.
Groundwater and dampness sit very close to the house. Does this increase flies?
Considerably. High groundwater keeps surrounding soil permanently saturated, which doubles the chances of larval development in the foundation zone and surrounding earth.
Incomplete drainage and unpaved streets: do these worsen the fly problem?
Significantly. Incomplete drainage allows water to pool randomly, and unpaved streets provide naturally damp soil. Both become ideal fly breeding environments.
When will I see results after treating the flat and the warehouse together?
If both are treated at the same time, you will notice a sharp drop within a week. However, vacant plots around the district remain a source that requires ongoing monitoring.
Construction continues around the district. When will its effect on flies end?
You will see it decline gradually as phases complete. But whilst excavation holes, turned soil and standing water remain, flies will persist. Regular treatment is necessary until construction fully ends.
How much does fly control in Badr cost?
It is set after the inspection, because the price follows the type of infestation, the size of the space, how far it has spread and the number of visits it needs. Send a photo and a description on WhatsApp and we will give you an estimate before we reach Badr.
