We trace the flies back to their medium: waste and the bin area, floor traps, drain runs and any standing organic wetness, and we identify the species from its size, its flight and where it settles.

Washing and scouring bin bases and floor traps, and a foam that treats the film inside the pipe, because removing the medium is the only thing that stops production.

Treat the resting surfaces

A fly spends most of its time settled on ceilings, cables, the tops of walls and the sunlit wall outside the door, and that is where the residual and the bait go, not into the air.

Proofing and the follow-up

We close the ways in and sort out the screens and the doors, then come back on a date matching the emergence of the pupae that were already in the medium on the first visit.

What is different about Al Misfalah Sub-Municipality

Al Misfalah sub municipality runs downhill from the south of the Grand Mosque through Al Misfalah, Kudai and Al Rawabi to Al Taqwa, Al Hindawiyah, Al Khalidiyah and Al Rusayfah at the third ring road. The northern end is old apartment blocks and pilgrim hotels with restaurants along Ibrahim Al Khalil Street and the huge coach parks at Kudai. The south and west are dense popular districts with countless small shops and unplanned hillside housing, some of it already cleared for redevelopment, giving way to orderly land grant schemes in Al Rusayfah beside the railway station.

Are the flies coming from the coach parks or from inside the shops too?

The parks are the primary source, but shops and warehouses harbour them once they arrive. Treating all sources together is necessary to break the breeding cycle.

How often must the entire commercial zone be treated?

Weekly treatment during peak seasons such as Hajj and Umrah, and fortnightly at other times. Repetition is essential because breeding sources are continuously present.

Does having flies in the shop mean the shop is unclean?

No. The shop may be well kept but situated near the coach parks and warehouses. Flies come from the surrounding environment even when the shop itself is orderly.

Do you treat inside the coaches and the parking ground beneath them?

Yes. Treating inside parked coaches and the ground beneath them and the wet areas are the priority. A soiled coach is a continuous source of spread.

Is there a season when Kudai's flies are worse than others?

Yes. Hajj, Umrah and Ramadan seasons are far worse because coaches stay longer and waste piles up. The rest of the year flies are less but still present.

Are electric fly units useful in the shops and offices, or pointless here?
