Inspect at night and find the source

We come at the hour it is actually moving, and establish which wall face it is living on, which lights are gathering its food, the entry points and the crevices it wedges into by day.

Treat the food source

We treat the flying and crawling insects on the wall faces, around the perimeter and around the lighting. Once the food goes, the wall stops being worth staying on.

Close the openings and clear the crevices

We seal the air-conditioner sleeve, screen the vents and drain outlets, deal with the underside of doors, and place a repellent in the crevices and behind panels so they move out before anything is closed.

The follow-up visit

We come back once the glued eggs have hatched, check the seals held, and re-treat any wall face where activity has returned.

Will treating my villa alone stop geckos from the vacant land around it?

No. The vacant plots surrounding the villa are a continuous source. Geckos live there in building materials and the infestation does not end until houses fill the gaps around yours.

When do I need a second treatment after moving into the new villa?

Treat on move in day or one week before. If geckos appear after two weeks, a new entry point has opened. A second treatment is certain if the sightings increase.

Should I tell my neighbours I am treating my villa?

Yes, it is essential. Geckos migrate from a treated villa to an untreated neighbour. Coordination between owners cuts costs and solves the problem faster.

Does active excavation next to the villa make it worse?

Yes, active digging brings damp soil and insects to the surface. Geckos find food and shelter at once. Treatment during construction may need repeating.

Can I treat the vacant land around my villa alone?

Treating vacant land alone is not enough if others own it. You can treat your villa perimeter and entry openings strongly. Coordination with other owners is the best solution.

Does a very large building site mean the gecko problem never ends?

A large site increases pressure, but not permanently. Nightly crawls from site to nearby villa happen every night. Once the site ends and villas fill in, infestation drops rapidly.
