Gecko control in Bayah Makkah
Bayah is a new development on broad open ground where homes are scarce, vacant plots are the norm and building is still scattered. Geckos migrate from open land towards the lights around new villas, and each one needs treatment from the start.
-
Targeted, not broadcast
Product goes into cracks and runways, never sprayed across open surfaces.
-
Told before we start
What we will use, where it goes, and what to cover or move before we arrive.
-
A follow-up visit
We return after the first treatment, because what survives it does not show on the day.

Homes and businesses
Apartments and villas, and kitchens and stores that need a record of each visit.
Why they keep coming back in Bayah
A new villa here will have geckos on the first night after the family moves in, because the surrounding land is open and alive with insects. The method is set out in full on Gecko control in detail.
Open ground is a natural breeding ground for insects
Vacant land around the new villa produces flies, moths and small insects. Geckos hide under soil and stones at night and appear around outdoor lights hunting food.
New villas lack the defence built up over years
A new villa has no natural protection that older homes accumulate over decades. Preventive treatment from day one delivers a year of protection.
Building works and excavation concentrate insects
Neighbouring construction sites, ground levelling and excavations leave moisture and moved soil. This attracts small insects and geckos track them to lights.
Bayah on the map
Bayah sits about 3.5 km from Hatim and about 4.5 km from Mughammas.
Open in Google MapsThe food, the opening and the crevice decide the method
Broad ground surrounds Wadi Al Sharai between Jabal Qardah and the hamlets, with new building underway and residential plots offered for sale. The wadi channels carry moisture and insects.
The house gecko
House geckos in Bayah populate the open ground heavily because it is damp and crawling with insects, and any new villa is a target.
Outdoor lighting
New outdoor lights around the villa are a signal to geckos that food is nearby.
Window mesh
New window mesh is good but gaps around the foundation and exterior openings are weak.
The air-conditioner sleeve
Air conditioner sleeves on new builds may be poorly sealed if construction is rushed.
Meter boxes and electrical panels
The new electrical panel outside may have gaps that were not sealed properly.
The garden and the irrigation
New gardens and irrigation attract insects in the first month, and geckos follow them.
How we work
-
1
Inspect at night and find the source
We come at the hour it is actually moving, and establish which wall face it is living on, which lights are gathering its food, the entry points and the crevices it wedges into by day.
-
2
Treat the food source
We treat the flying and crawling insects on the wall faces, around the perimeter and around the lighting. Once the food goes, the wall stops being worth staying on.
-
3
Close the openings and clear the crevices
We seal the air-conditioner sleeve, screen the vents and drain outlets, deal with the underside of doors, and place a repellent in the crevices and behind panels so they move out before anything is closed.
-
4
The follow-up visit
We come back once the glued eggs have hatched, check the seals held, and re-treat any wall face where activity has returned.
What gecko control includes
-
A recorded night inspection
Wall faces, lighting, entry points and egg sites, all established before anything is applied.
-
Treating the insects on the walls
Targeted treatment around lighting, windows and the building perimeter, because the food is what keeps it there.
-
Placed repellent in the crevices
Behind panels, in wall joints and at the ceiling-void entries, where it sits out the day.
-
Screening vents and drain openings
Shafts, vents and the condensate outlet, which are entry points nobody looks at.
-
Aftercare instructions
Ventilation, what to cover, and the change to the outside lighting that stops the insects gathering again.
-
A scheduled follow-up
A set date after the first treatment, a check on the seals and re-treatment of anything still active.
The character of Bayah
New development: ongoing construction and vacant plots between the homes
A new development means geckos have not been challenged yet, and new villas are easy targets. Preventive treatment from the start costs less than treating an established problem later.
Questions about this district
Should treatment start on moving day in Bayah?
Yes. A new villa sits in open ground with significant gecko populations. Treatment in the first week saves your household disruption and worry.
Will vacant plots next to my villa stay a gecko source?
Yes, as long as ground is open and insects present. If neighbouring plots build out within a year, pressure may decline.
Are geckos migrating directly from Wadi Al Sharai?
The wadi is natural habitat, but geckos entering homes come from surrounding ground hunting the insects attracted to outdoor lights.
When will Bayah need a second treatment?
If plots around the villa remain vacant with high gecko numbers, a second treatment may be needed between six and nine months later.
Do nearby building projects increase gecko pressure?
Yes. Construction sites draw workers, insects and geckos. Once excavation stops, pressure may ease.
Can the open land be treated before building starts?
Treating vast vacant plots is not practical, but treating around the villa protects it from entry.
How much does gecko control in Bayah cost?
It is set after the inspection, because the price follows the type of infestation, the size of the space, how far it has spread and the number of visits it needs. Send a photo and a description on WhatsApp and we will give you an estimate before we reach Bayah.
