How we work

Inspect and map the water

We walk the perimeter, the roof, the garden, the meter chambers and the condensate runs, record everything that holds water, and read the species from the breeding site and the time of biting.

Remove the water that can go

Empty, invert, cover: saucers, containers, old tyres and roof gullies. Every point that disappears is a treatment that never needs repeating.

Larval treatment, then the resting surfaces

Water that cannot be drained is treated so the larva never completes, then a residual goes under planting, beneath outdoor furniture and along low shaded walls.

The follow-up visit

We come back once the generation that was in the water on the first visit has completed, review every point we recorded and re-treat where needed.

What is different about South Makkah Sub-Municipality

South Makkah sub municipality is the belt of Crown Prince schemes south of Al Ukayshiyah, along the Al Laith road and the extension of Ibrahim Al Khalil Road to the Fifth Ring Road and the Non Muslims bypass. Most of it is still bare: granted plots awaiting houses, new villas standing alone, open building sites and unfinished paving and drainage. Wadi Uranah and its tributaries cross the low ground and hold water after rain, hills close it in, and rodents, reptiles and scorpions shelter in stacked materials and foundation pits before the neighbourhoods fill up.

Questions about this district

Our villa is new but surrounded by construction and open pits. Is that a mosquito source?

Yes, certainly. Construction sites with open pits and water mean mosquitoes breed in the pits and spread into the villa.

Wadi Uranah passes beside our villa and water collects there. Is that the main source?

Yes. The wadi holds water after rain and is a direct mosquito source. Mosquitoes move from the wadi into the villa.

Vast vacant land around our villa collects runoff water. Is there a solution?

Large open land is difficult. Regular levelling and clearing help. Treatment focuses on the land around the villa.

The new plaza has voids below it. Can we reach and treat them?

If the voids are open they can be treated. If sealed, we treat from above or clear the inlets.

Construction beside the villa leaves water and mud everywhere. Do we need special treatment?

Yes. Ongoing construction is a continuous standing water source. Treatment around the villa is stronger and more frequent.

Our new villa has modern drainage. Is that enough, or do we still need treatment?

Modern drainage helps, but water from the bare ground, the pits and the wadi reaches the villa through the soil itself.
