Dust into the wall joints and the dry voids, and a targeted band tight against the foundation and around openings, because the material holds longer on a porous surface than on tile.

Close the ways in and remove the prey

A sweep under the doors, sealing where air-conditioning and drain pipes pass through, mesh over openings, and treatment of the cockroaches and insects it feeds on, so the reason to come in goes with them.

The follow-up visit

A scorpion can sit in its harbourage for weeks without moving, so the first pass does not always reach it. We come back to refresh the perimeter band and check what has appeared since.

Is treatment of one flat enough, or does the whole building need it?

If pipes are leaking and damp, will scorpions definitely appear?

Moisture draws the insects that scorpions hunt, but it is not the only factor. Fixing the leak cuts the food chain and makes the flat less inviting even if a scorpion does occasionally wander through.

What if we find a scorpion in the shared corridor?

Do not get close or try to crush it. Lock the door and tell the building office immediately. We will come at a set time and treat the shared zones thoroughly to stop others appearing.
