Close the ways in and remove the prey

A sweep under the doors, sealing where air-conditioning and drain pipes pass through, mesh over openings, and treatment of the cockroaches and insects it feeds on, so the reason to come in goes with them.

The follow-up visit

A scorpion can sit in its harbourage for weeks without moving, so the first pass does not always reach it. We come back to refresh the perimeter band and check what has appeared since.

Why do scorpions appear in a new villa before we have even moved in?

Building and excavation drive scorpions out of their underground shelters as the site is worked. New unfinished foundations become their new entry points. Treating before you move in protects you from the first wave of displaced creatures from the construction phase.

Is treating just my villa enough or must I treat the vacant land next door?

Treating the villa alone is not enough because the vacant plot is where they nest before crossing into your property. We treat your boundary line and all joints and gaps, and we extend treatment across the vacant land up to your property edge.

Does clearing the bare ground around my villa reduce scorpions?

Clearing helps but it is not sufficient on its own. The exposed soil itself is their natural shelter. We need chemical treatment of the soil and any rock gaps so they cannot remain in the ground around your boundary.

Do new villas in Al Kawthar need ongoing treatment or is one visit enough?

One treatment is not enough in an active building area. Continuous construction around you means new scorpions are being displaced from nearby sites throughout the year. Regular treatment cycles are necessary.

Should I treat my villa before or after the drainage work is completed?

Treatment after the foundation and joints are finished is more effective. Treatment before construction ends loses its effect when machinery digs and disturbs treated ground. After building work and backfill are done, treatment stays in place.

Why does another scorpion appear after we treated, given that we are surrounded by vacant land?

The vacant ground around you is an endless source of new arrivals. When one scorpion dies, others emerge from underground shelters in the bare soil. Treatment kills individuals but the shelter itself remains, so more arrive.
