Sewerage networks are still under construction and new pipes and excavations are active. This means soil remains open and water is unsecured. New excavation brings thousands of ants from the soil to the surface. Homes near active drainage work face repeated ant waves during construction periods.

Al Kawthar is expanding very rapidly and new building sites open constantly. Every new construction brings ants from the soil. The enormous vacant plots between homes support very large ant populations. When these colonies mature after months or a year they begin to spread toward occupied homes. New homes may see no ants in the first weeks but will encounter them abundantly later as the colonies grow.

Do ongoing drainage excavations bring ants from deep soil layers?

Yes absolutely. Each new excavation cuts through soil layers and disturbs established colonies. Ants from deep underground surface seeking new shelter. Buildings adjacent to excavations face this pressure directly and intensely.

Does preventive treatment of a new home before moving in protect it from ants?

Preventive treatment gives temporary protection of around 2-3 months. However vacant plots and adjacent excavations will bring new ants later. Prevention buys a quiet period but is not a lasting solution.

Does proximity to Al Hamdaniyah to the north and Al Rayyan to the south bring ants from those districts?

Very difficult because vacant plots are often owned by government entities or construction firms. However a strong resident community might petition authorities for treatment. Co ordination with the municipality may help.

Does rapid modern construction and new materials protect from ants?

Modern building and new materials are better than old construction for foundations and pipes. However new concrete foundations have fine cracks and ants find their way. Modern materials do not provide complete protection from ants rising from soil.
