We walk the perimeter, the roof, the garden, the meter chambers and the condensate runs, record everything that holds water, and read the species from the breeding site and the time of biting.

Remove the water that can go

Empty, invert, cover: saucers, containers, old tyres and roof gullies. Every point that disappears is a treatment that never needs repeating.

Larval treatment, then the resting surfaces

Water that cannot be drained is treated so the larva never completes, then a residual goes under planting, beneath outdoor furniture and along low shaded walls.

The follow-up visit

We come back once the generation that was in the water on the first visit has completed, review every point we recorded and re-treat where needed.

Questions about this district

Does daily watering of the garden attract mosquitoes to the villa?

Regular irrigation creates a damp environment that mosquitoes love. If pots or gaps collect excess water they will breed there.

Does a new villa with an old shared drain increase the mosquito problem?

Yes. The new villa may be clean but if the shared drain is slow or blocked water pools below it and mosquitoes move in.

Does treating the garden alone stop mosquitoes or do they come from nearby shops?

Mosquitoes may come from shops and the shared drain. Garden treatment is important but shops, gaps and the villa all need treatment.

Are pots and saucers under potted plants a major mosquito source here?

Yes. Saucers under plants collect excess irrigation water. Even if you empty them every two days there may still be enough water for breeding.

Does treating my villa alone stop the mosquitoes or do they return from the district?

Villa only treatment may work briefly but mosquitoes return from shops and gaps. District wide treatment is better.

Is every three weeks enough or do I need treatment every two weeks given all this irrigation and retail?
