Unlike a sealed office or home, goods movement means the threat changes weekly.

Insects climb from a shop into offices above via cavities around pipes, electrics and air ducts. These cavities need specialist materials and injected treatments that routine visits may not reach. A shop infected two storeys below means the office above is at risk unless cavities are sealed and treated.

Small cramped storerooms packed with goods

Questions about this district

Goods arrive from different places. How do we stop insects entering?

You cannot stop deliveries, but treating the shop entrance and cavities around pipes blocks insects from spreading to other units. Scheduled visits monitor these points and find insects before they climb to upper offices or spread through shared cavities.

Insects climb from the shop below us into our office. Is monthly treatment enough?

Monthly treatment must focus on the cavities between storeys. If the shop below moves large quantities of goods, you may need an additional visit or reinforced cavity treatment timed to delivery schedules.

Does treatment lose effect because shops stay open all day?

Cavities between storeys stay sealed so treatment lasts there. The shop entrance itself has shorter protection because goods move in and out constantly, but the cavities and pipes retain the treatment.

We have a clinic above, an office in the middle and a shop below. One programme?

No. Each level needs a separate programme. The shop handles merchandise, the clinic must be sterile and the office has different furnishings. The pest entry route differs at each level, so treatment must differ too.

Is treatment of our office enough or must we treat the shop below?

Treating only your office does not stop insects climbing from below. However, treating the shared cavities between us protects your office even if the shop below never gets sprayed. Ask specifically about inter storey cavity treatment.

Does treatment harm goods stored or electrical equipment in the shop?

Treatment focuses on cavities, corners and pipes away from stored goods. Electrical equipment is not affected because we do not spray directly onto it, only in the space around and beneath it.
