Inspect and map the water

We walk the perimeter, the roof, the garden, the meter chambers and the condensate runs, record everything that holds water, and read the species from the breeding site and the time of biting.

Remove the water that can go

Empty, invert, cover: saucers, containers, old tyres and roof gullies. Every point that disappears is a treatment that never needs repeating.

Larval treatment, then the resting surfaces

Water that cannot be drained is treated so the larva never completes, then a residual goes under planting, beneath outdoor furniture and along low shaded walls.

The follow-up visit

We come back once the generation that was in the water on the first visit has completed, review every point we recorded and re-treat where needed.

Southwards the fabric loosens into villas and planned streets in An Naseem and Al Awali, then Al Abidiyah's campus and the old farms of Al Husayniyah, where Wadi Uranah holds water after rain and farm enclosures shelter rodents and reptiles.

Do mosquitoes from Wadi Uranah easily enter the new villa?

Yes. Wadi Uranah carries mosquitoes after rain and floods. A new villa on low ground may lie on the path of running water from the wadi.

Are open farm enclosures beside the villa a major source?

Yes, greatly. Open enclosures trap water and mosquitoes breed there rapidly. Mosquitoes from the enclosure spread to the neighbouring villa easily.

How often must I treat after a Wadi Uranah flood?

Immediately after a flood and then again after a week. Running water from the wadi brings mosquitoes directly.

Does treating my villa alone stop them or do they come from the wadi and nearby enclosures?

Mosquitoes come from the wadi, enclosures and outside gaps. Treating the villa alone may not work year round because of these external sources.

Do low damp areas after a flood provide a complete breeding environment?

Yes. Waterlogged ground for days after a flood is perfect breeding habitat. Mosquitoes breed in water soaked earth even if it is very shallow.

Is every three weeks enough or do I need more frequent treatment in such a valley?

In Al Husayniyah with the wadi, enclosures and low ground you need treatment at least every two weeks. After every flood you need emergency treatment.
