Scorpion control in Al Khalidiyah Jeddah
Al Khalidiyah is a relatively recent villa district in the north of Jeddah close to the corniche, spread between King Abdulaziz Road and Saud Al Faisal Road. Each villa sits on its own plot with private gardens and a boundary wall. The scorpion patrols the perimeter and shelters in the gaps beneath foundations and wall bases.

Why they keep coming back in Al Khalidiyah
Most scorpions are seen around the walls and foundation interfaces rather than inside homes, because they live in the surrounding perimeter before attempting entry. The method is set out in full on our Scorpion control service.
The extensive exterior perimeter is ideal scorpion habitat
A villa does not stand alone but is surrounded by an exterior plot that may be tens of square metres. Decorative stones, plants and damp soil around irrigation points provide safe shelter for the scorpion. Gaps beneath the base and foundation are deep and narrow and difficult to reach and treat without a systematic approach.
Private gardens and irrigation systems draw scorpions
Each villa has its own irrigation and garden, sometimes small, sometimes large. Soil constantly damp from watering draws insects and rodents that the scorpion follows. Irrigation points may be close to the wall or close to the house itself, bringing the scorpion near the entry points.
Walls and foundation gaps are the scorpion's main passages
The boundary wall is not always perfectly sealed: there are gaps between it and the ground, and gaps in the foundation itself if it is older. The scorpion walks on the outside of the wall and enters through the gaps below. Treating the perimeter around the wall and exterior prevents entry far more effectively than treating the inside of the house.

Open in Google MapsWhat we check outside before we go in
Large villas with private gardens and boundary walls have extensive exterior spaces where scorpions shelter beneath stones, in soil around irrigation points, and in foundation gaps.
Wall joints and boundary walls
The gaps directly beneath the wall base are the scorpion's main entry and exit routes between the exterior and the interior perimeter.
Rubble and stacked block
Plant waste, dead leaves and dead branches collect around the garden and provide safe shelter for scorpions.
Palm fronds and garden litter
Leaves and moisture from irrigation points accumulate around fissures, making the perimeter an ideal scorpion refuge.
The gap under the door
Any gap between the wall base and the ground allows the scorpion to pass in and out with complete ease.
Irrigation and damp soil
Soil damp from constant irrigation around the house foundation and wall base provides ideal conditions for scorpions and insects.
The light by the door
Exterior lighting around the wall at night attracts small insects, and the scorpion follows them directly.
How we work
-
1
Night survey and perimeter inspection
We walk the perimeter after dark with an ultraviolet lamp, which makes a scorpion show up against wall and soil, and we record the harbourage, the ways in and how much prey is present.
-
2
Treat the harbourage and the building edge
Dust into the wall joints and the dry voids, and a targeted band tight against the foundation and around openings, because the material holds longer on a porous surface than on tile.
-
3
Close the ways in and remove the prey
A sweep under the doors, sealing where air-conditioning and drain pipes pass through, mesh over openings, and treatment of the cockroaches and insects it feeds on, so the reason to come in goes with them.
-
4
The follow-up visit
A scorpion can sit in its harbourage for weeks without moving, so the first pass does not always reach it. We come back to refresh the perimeter band and check what has appeared since.
What scorpion control includes
-
A night survey with an ultraviolet lamp
A walk of the perimeter after dark that fixes the harbourage and the entry routes before anything is applied.
-
Targeted perimeter and joint treatment
A band against the foundation, plus wall joints and cracks, never open floors or where children play.
-
Sealing openings and pipe entries
Drain openings, the points where air-conditioning pipes pass through, and mesh on shafts, which are the routes actually used.
-
Treating what it feeds on
Placed bait for cockroaches at entrances and service areas, because cutting the food supply reduces visits more than repeating a spray.
-
Aftercare instructions
What to lift out of the yard, where to move the outside light, and the ventilation time for your situation, which we give you on site.
-
A scheduled follow-up
A set date after the first treatment, a refreshed perimeter band and a check of anything new around it.

Questions about this district
Should the entire villa perimeter be treated or just the foundation?
The entire perimeter, especially walls and gaps beneath them. We treat around the outside and inside of the wall and seal the fissures. The garden and open spaces are equally important because the scorpion shelters there before attempting entry.
Does a modern automated irrigation system attract more scorpions?
Both modern and older systems attract them, but in different ways. Modern automated irrigation keeps soil damp regularly, while older systems may leak constantly. Constant moisture is what draws the scorpion, regardless of system age.
If a villa is isolated from others, does it need less frequent treatment?
Distance between villas helps slightly but does not solve the problem. The scorpion is present in the exterior perimeter around each villa because of the garden, irrigation, foundation and wall, not because of neighbouring villas.
What should I do with decorative stones and plants during treatment?
Do not remove them. Treatment beneath them is completely safe for plants and stones. We clear only large voids of dead leaves and branches where the scorpion takes shelter.
Are new villas in Al Khalidiyah less exposed to scorpions than older ones?
New and older villas are roughly equally exposed. The difference is that a new villa may have a tighter wall seal. But the garden and irrigation exist, and the scorpion comes following insects and moisture.
How many times yearly should a villa in Al Khalidiyah be treated?
Once or twice depending on activity and season. Summer and spring are peak periods that may need additional treatment. If you see heavy scorpion movement around the wall a third treatment may be needed.
How much does scorpion control in Al Khalidiyah cost?
It is set after the inspection, because the price follows the type of infestation, the size of the space, how far it has spread and the number of visits it needs. Send a photo and a description on WhatsApp and we will give you an estimate before we reach Al Khalidiyah.
